Design: The design of this camera is sleek and sophisticated, with a large 2.5" LCD screen, and the brand and camera name printed on the front. The casing is silver, with a leathery bit next to the lens. On the top of the camera is the power button, and the settings button, on this bit there a eight settings. Next to this there is a speaker, so you can record sound on the video as well as play it back. This camera is quite heavy for its size (around 3" x 2") at 136 grams. The digimax S700 takes AA batteries.
Camera: This has is a 7.2 megapixel camera with 15 x total zoom, and night mode settings. It will tell you if the room is too dark, so you know when to put night mode on. There is a delay sometimes with when you take the picture and when you can see it on the screen, which takes longer if it is on night mode. You can choose how wide the photo is and choose from 8 different sizes. There is different qualities of photo to choose from aswell; superfine, fine, or normal. I choose superfine as I think it gives the best picture. You can also choose from single or continous shooting, whether you want to take more than one picture in a row (like a slideshow) or just one picture everytime you press the button.
Video: This has a good video recorder on it with the heighth in pixel being 480, and the width being 640. You can take a good amount of video time, but it does take quite a long time to show up on the screen. It also records sound.
Other Features: On this camera you can have three different start up sounds, and three different shutter sounds; a normal camera sound, a different camera sound, and a dog barking. You can also choose a start image, the samsung logo, or one of your photos. You can choose the language (22, including; chinese, french, dutch, and spanish.) You can change the date and time and the volume of the start up sound, video, and shutter sound.
Overall this is a really good camera, and you can expand the memory, as the memory card supplied only holds around 10 photos at the most, so it is advised that you get a 1GB card, so you can fit lots of photos on it. It has a good camera and video feature, lots of different settings to personalise the camera, and is easy to use.
