It has a good range of effects you can apply to the picture as you take it (Sepia, Picture Size, Picture Quality..) Like when you buy a mobile phone, you receive a USB cable to upload pictures to your laptop/computer and an easy-to-read insturction manual.

About a year and a half ago, just before I embarked on a holiday to Spain, I decided to treat myself to a brand new, good quality camera. The one I purchased is infact, all of the above.
Although there are many other digital cameras with more Megapixels, bigger zooming capabilities, this camera is still regularly used and I have no intention of purchasing another anytime soon. The camera cost around, if my memory is serving me correctly today, £140 at the time I purchased it. Well worth the money in my personal opinion and I will explain exactly (hopefully) why. The digital camera has 8.1 Megapixels, which still to this day produces great quality pictures as I have made an effort to maintain the camera, proving that it can last for a good amount of time. It can also record movie clips (MPEG4). It has a good range of effects you can apply to the picture as you take it (Sepia, Picture Size, Picture Quality..) Like when you buy a mobile phone, you receive a USB cable to upload pictures to your laptop/computer and an easy-to-read insturction manual.
Should I criticise the camera in any way? I would have to say that it eats batteries like you would not believe - as I have had the camera for a long period of time and had no other, I could not tell you if this is a common downfall of cameras. Some batteries, like Tesco Value ones, do not possess ample power to run the camera. More expensive batteries (for instance, Kodak, Energizer or Panasonic) need to be purchased to run the camera. Tip: if you fancy the sound of this camera (I believe it's worth the money regardless of the battery-eating problem it possess), stock up on batteries if you're going on an outing or holiday. Or even better, buy rechargeable batteries.

This is a good quality camera that doesn't cost a huge amount of money. You can just point and shoot or use more options to take more advanced photographs.
The camera looks good, mine has a back body with a silver border and lens and a blue finish on the front. (you can get it in a white/silver colour.) the battery compartment area is pushed out slightly to make the camera easier to hold and this has a leather style pattern on the front.
The camera ... ...colour screen is very good quality so soon you get used to just using the screen, occasionally I feel that a viewfinder could be useful though. There is a sunken power button at the top of the camera and next to this is a small light that indicates whether the camera is on or not. Next to this there is a wheel that is used to change the camera modes. The modes are:

Purchased this camera a couple of months ago for my wife, her choice! Since then I have used it more than her! I am very much a shaky hand point and click photographer and this camera has been very good to me!
It stands just over 6cm tall, and 10cm wide, and upto 3.5cm depth. Its light weight (according to my scales 165g) It has a big LCD screen of 6.4cm (2.4" in old money!) It also has 20mb internal memory.
The power button sits on top of the ... ...turned on accidently. Next to it is the rotary switch which allows you to select the type of photo / video you want, for example a night photo, automatic or of a child and of course a manual option. The final button on top of the camera is the shutter.
The bottom of the camera has the battery compartment which also houses the removable and not supplied SD memory card. (purchased a 2gb card from amazon for less than £28 delivered). Also has a slot ...

this low cost camera offers quite a lot for the price. it is relatively compact, certainly small enough to fit in your pocket or handbag. it has a large colour screen which is great, however this does mean that battery life is quite short and i would definitely recommend some good quality rechargeables to go with it. the 8.1 megapixels gives a good crisp shot. the lens quality is ok. under zoom the quality does go down a bit, but it is still far ... ...comes with a disk to help synch it up with your computer, but you can plug it straight in without installing software and it works fine on both pcs and macs. the shutter speed is sometimes quite slow, especially in low light. the video function isnt very good unless the camera is held perfectly still. overall a decent quality camera which wont break the bank. ...

Samsung’sDigimax800K is a great little camera for those wanting to play around with digital images but is more suited to complete beginners rather than expert photographers.
It’s priced fairly reasonably compared to others and the first thing I noticed about it, was how light and plasticky it seems to be. The camera comes in a small silver plastic body and is incredibly lightweight, less than 200g. At first appearance, you would be forgiven for thinking this was a toy!
Features are limited but you can get some excellent photographs with this one, especially outdoors in natural light. The flash gives pleasing indoor photography results but these can sometimes be a little distorted if battery power is weak. It runs using 2 AA type batteries and be warned, these go flat in a very short space of time and your photographs ...
