I got the E370 on the 19th of August 2006. I obtained it from The Carphone Warehouse for £120, with £20 pound of top up for free (on Virgin Mobile).

MP3 player.

This phone is very good as an MP3 player. I find it good because it can hold roughly 10, four minute (on average) songs. The sound quality is extremely good it also has built in speakers, which for the size of the phone are very loud; it has a lovely volume control on the side of the phone that looks good and is easy to use. There are 2 songs that are included with the phone. They are Linn B 'Falling in love' and Lynn 'Are you online.' To come free with the phone they aren't that bad sound tracks.

Camera.

The camera is a 1.3 megapixle, which also has zoom. The quality of the camera is pretty good considering it's a 1.3 megapixle. The camera has effects which allow you to turn the picture into: black and white, negative, sepia, emboss, sketch, orange and aqua. The flash on the phone is incredibly bright. On the side of the phone there is a small silvery button that is effectively a short cut button that allows you to access the camera without having to go through the menu. I think that this a great idea because when you want to get those moments recorded and they only last for that short space of time you are able to access the camera easily and capture the moment. You can set the photo onto single shot (one photo) or mutli shot (many photos), you are able to change the speed and the amount of shots, which are taken by going onto the photo settings. If you are by your self and want to record a special moment then you are able to set a timer range from 3-5-10 seconds. Before you take a photo you can change the brightness of your phone in according to you or your surroundings, which is a useful feature to have around at dusk and twilight hours.

Camera recorder.

The camera recorder on the phone has a memory space of up to 31 minutes. Before you record on the phone you are able to turn the effects so you can have: black and white, negative, sepia, emboss, sketch, orange and aqua. You are able to record with the flash on so if you are capturing a scene in the dark then you are able to do it with the assistance of a bright and effective light. If you are recording and the sun is going down but you want to keep the consistency of the light in the film then you are able to adjust it throughout the recording. If the object moves away that you are recording then you can use the zoom to still record it.

Voice recorder.

The voice recorder isn't too great but considering that the phone doesn't particularly specialise on the it's voice recording then it's a reasonable quality. The voice recorder's, recording length is an hour which considering it isn't the phone's main feature then it's pretty good.

Java world (built in games).

The built in game son the phone have an excellent sound quality and makes the game a lot better with the use of the phone's built in speakers. There are 3 games that are included with the phone. They all have a reasonable picture quality and have a large number of levels. The phone automatically saves the progress, which you are at when you have finished the level. If you receive a text message when you are playing the game, the game will pause and give you the option of opening the text message. Once you have opened the text message and replied, the game will ask you if you would like to continue with your progress which is a very good feature because if you aren't a point where you can save then you are able to resume where you are in the game.

World time.

If you are wanting to know the time in a different part of the world then you are able to simply access 'World time' in 'applications' you can then decide which time zone that you want look at and it'll come up with the places and the time.

Alarm.

You are able to have 3 different alarms that go off at different times if you want to. You can have the 'basic alarm' which are simply burning tunes, then you can have 'default melodies' which are slightly better than the 'basic alarm', if you have a 'voice list' you are to set it as one of your 'voice lists', 'downloaded sounds' are better still then the 'basic alarm' and 'default melodies', if you have any 'favourite sounds' then you can set that as the alarm tone and if you have any 'music' which you have put onto your phone then are can set a sound track as the alarm.

Calculator.

The calculator is an easy and use able smart 'application' for the phone. It is easy to use and has a decent display.

Converter.

The currency, length, weight, volume, area and temperature converter is useful if you are in different countries and if you are using your phone in the absence of a calculator.

Timer.

The timer is a good and useful extra when you are needed to time someone of something.

Stopwatch.

The stopwatch is a useful thing to have because if you are timing stages then its able to time 4 different stages in the race of what ever is happening.
Bluetooth.

Bluetooth is easy to use because it has easy access and you are able to obtain things from mates easy through this easy and free way of sending. The reception on Bluetooth is good because it can reach up to a reasonable distance.

Settings.

There is lots of variation if you want to change the phone, display, sound and light settings. Which is useful because it helps you to personalise your phone and have it how you want it.

Background.

If you have taken a picture of something that you like on your camera then its possible to set it as your background. If you have downloaded an animated background then you are able to set that also as a background.

Down side to the phone.

If you use the camera and the camera recorder lots then the battery of the phone is prone to losing lots of battery. Also if you have an animated background then the battery goes down. As well as having the music player and the built in speakers they use a lot of the battery up with the energy of which is required to produce the sound.

In my opinion.

I think that this phone is a smart looking, stylish and small so it can be good to have around in town and in school. Personally I think that you should buy this phone at a remarkable price.

I'm getting one of these so thanks for all the information you have included plus the advice about the battery power. Very useful review.

By far the best review of the three - and it's your first. Aim to have this much info in all of them (although you don't necessarily need so many subheadings) ben
