A phone is something you now a days depend on very much for everything.
My first android phone i bought was Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570. The price and
the android operating system compelled me to go for this phone. I did not get it through a contract but just in lum sum and was not that expensive I thought. The phone is an awesome phone reason being it gives me access to to almost all the features of android and android Operating system is better than other operating systems as its different to the others and also Opensource and free. The Free and stunning Applications make your device a Powerful Machine and a portable robot in other words.

FEATURES

: Here are some features probably not known to other android users:
- This device lets me save my contacts directly to my Google account. I just need to keep my contacts Syncing and connected either to the mobile network or Wi fi.
- I use application i downloaded which was free and it helped me recover my
misplaced phone. There are two free apps i downloded that will help me
recover my phone and both work wonders.
- I also use my phone as a router, and share the internet with all my
friends without any extra cost.
- The Phone also helps me make cheap calls through Skype anywhere in the world through the Wi-Fi at home and Some Skype Credit and that's all possible. If the calls are Skype to Skype from the phone are absolutely free.
- If I update my Google account on the phone or PC reflects on both devices and hence is a great centralized way of updating and saving.
- The phone also helps in creating and joining a Virtual Private Network (VPN). This again in turn helps in connectivity between the devices in the VPN.
- The phone comes with Android version Froyo 2.2 which is upgradable to 2.3
- The phone lets capture videos in MP4 format which is a good quality. The camera is good too with 3.15 megapixels.
- The My Location option in the Google Maps lets me know where I am and also
makes me aware of the Cash Machines, Restaurants in the vicinity.
- I also use the device as a USB data drive to save any data or use the phone memory as a pen drive or thumb drive. I just need the USB cable to be attached to the phone and Mass Storage to be on. In this was it is also my Storage Device. I don't need to carry my Pen/Thumb drive.
- Everything i save or download or even the pictures i click or videos i capture, get saved directly on the Memory card. It has never ran out of memory.
- I've configured my emails on this phone including your work email. Just need to know the outgoing and the incoming server and port numbers. AOL, Hotmail, Yahoomail and all sorts of emails can be accessed in one phone.

DESIGN AND LOOKS

: The colour of my phone is a combination of Lemon Green and Black however the phone comes in Silver with Black combinationand Silver and Black colours too.
The Screen is around 3.14" and fair enough to play games. The phone has 3 keys in the front and the sound controller and Power Key to the sides. Only 5 keys makes the phone purely a Touchscreen.

It looks like a proper and advanced smartphone which it is at the lowest cost possible.

DURABILITY

: As the products i use have to be rough and tough, this phone is no exception to it. I'd met with an accident and the screen of the phone was cracked and that was the only problem with the phone however it took 15 days for me to recover. The phone works for a complete day if the battery is charged completely but without Internet on. I am dependent on my phone for almost everything and it gives me and it gives me all the information i need anytime anywhere.

TECH SPECS

: The phone is a 3G phone and with a RAM of 384Mb which is better
than most other android phones with a processor of 600 MHz which makes my me
work on the phone without the phone getting stuck and frozen. The Memory is
expandable up to 32Gb which saves a lot of videos and music and other useful
data. The Phone is an Android phone which lets me access almost all awesome
Google Services right on my phone without having to go through a computer.
The phone has Wi-Fi with up to the "N" level of range which is the highest.

Apart from that it also has a Wi-Fi Hotspot that lets other mobile of mine or my laptop, connect to internet of my phone. 3.15MP camera to click pics and record videos. Google Maps show me my location if the mobile network is on or if using the GPS.

ISSUE I HAD

:
- The device though is great but does lack in some things. The battery life if you have the mobile network or GPS or Wi fi On is less and works for 4-5 hours only.
- There is no external button to click pictures. Have to use the touchpad
button.
- I cannot save or transfer all downloaded and installed applications to the SD card memory. They use the phone memory and cause the phone to be a bit slow.
- The Freezing and FORCE CLOSE problem with some applications and the android system itself was regular until i upgraded to Gingerbread 2.3 from Froyo 2.2.
- The Integrated HTML browser is not good at all though displays complete webpages. There's no exit button to the browser and history needs to be cleared often.
- The phone takes a long time to restart.

CONCLUSION

:
Despite the above issues, my phone is an awesome phone and gives me all the features of a Smartphone. This phone is good for people who want a cheap but better than an average phone.
