Hello welcome to my review of the Samsung Galaxy S II, I had to buy this phone because my original galaxy S was launched at my fence by my 3 year old daughter having let her play on the talking cat game.
The phone is as close and in some respects better then the iphone it is thin and has a 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus display with 800 x 480 resolution and a 1.2GHz Dual Core Application Processor therefore just like having a little PC in your hand.
The phone has a max sd card capacity of 32GB and built in memory of 16gb which is a good standard, it has an 8 megapixel camera which was the best in the market when i purchased mine, and a front screen camera to allow face to face conversations.
The phone is a 3,5g phone (smartphone) has wifi connectivity and cellular connectivity through the following protocols HSPA , EDGE, GPRS, HSDPA, HSUPA and supports the following gsm networks WCDMA 850, WCDMA 900, WCDMA 1900, WCDMA 2100, GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 which make it quad band, or a world rover.
Packing all the functionality mentioned it weighs only 116.0 g and can be classed as a green phone covering the follwing standards RoHS, WEEE.
The phone uses the google android operating system 2.3 Gingerbread packed into the phones rather thin 125.0mm x width 66.0 x depth 8.5mm, and an apparent battery talk time of 18.30 hours which I think is a bit of a swiz as I have to charge mine daily and the talk time drains it quickest.
In all the phone is fantastic and makes you wonder what the galaxy s 3 would be like, I'm not sure we can go thinner or smaller or better as this possibly can only be drop once on the screen and it would be a broken.
You can like I have buy the rubber casing and static screen cover protectors but this takes away from the thinness of the device which you have paid a premium for, I got mine free on a contract for £30 a month, all mobile suppliers and operators supply these phones so i'm sure a good deal can be had if you investigate.
I would recommend this phone if you don't want to be part of the crowd with an iphone, another plus to this the android apps and games market place is exploding and is huge a place where you can just about get anything you want apps wise.
To sum up the phone is by no means perfect, but it is close, after some feedback I should just point out I have had mine nearly a year with no issues at all, i have dropped it a couple of times and knocked it you know general wear and tear and it has stood up to it very well.

I am sorry but this isn't of much help to me as it seems to just describe the features without giving any genuine user experience or opinion...there's nothing here I couldn't be told by a salesman.
