If you have got this far, then you probably already know that this is a Samsung branded Pentax K10D.
I have owned the camera for about 6 months, purchased with the 18-55 lens and the 55-200. My opinion so far is that htis is a fantastic camera.
Versatility I have take shots of landscape, sports (anti-shake really helps here) and close ups. The camera behaves itself brilliantly & copes with most situations very well. The kit lenses are not Macro. It is worth noting the compatability this cvapera has with almost any old Pentax lens - I have an old Pentax P30n & the lenses work fine on this camera (though, of course, they require manual focus). The lenses also benefit from the anti-shake function, as Pentax have opted for an in-camera system.
Picture Quality I have made some tweaks to the saturation to suit my personal taste, but other than that I find that the factory settings are fine. The kit lenses are, I am sure, not the highest quality (as is standard practice with camera manufacturers), but they have delivered some fine looking pictures for me.
Build Quality The camera is weather sealed - but the lenses are not, so be careful. There is a bit of weight in this thing - obviously very good construction & really feels the part when you hold it. I am amazed at the quality feel for such an inexpensive camera.
Controls The Samsung uses different software to the Pentax - so menu displays, colours etc differ. Samsung have a lot of experience in this area, and if shows - the menu system is really easy to use & looks nice. Like the Pentax, there are a lot of direct access buttons allowing rapid selection of exposure modes, focus type etc.

I have been in the market for a decent DSLR camera and found many reviews for the Nikon and Cannon but struck gold when I found a perfect review of the Samsung GX-10. Not a trendy name in Camera Manufacturing but a re-badged Pentax K10 for £300 less can't be too bad.
I have been playing with this all weekend and it's a fantastic piece of equipment. Pictures are sharp, excellent colour saturation and extremely quick with auto focus and continuous shooting. The on-screen menus are very useful and the array of options is a little bewildering at first but I am fast learning how to get the best out of this beauty. The lens is not as quiet as some but all in all it's Excellent.

...to shame some of its 8 or 10.1 mega pixel rivals, secondly is the enhanced Digital Filter which allows a greater dynamic range of exposures and can also be used to add various effects or compensate for missing pixels after taking a picture. Turn to the back of the camera and you have the huge 2.7 inch LCD screen and the great thing with this camera is that it also comes with live view through the optical viewfinder.
The GX-20 also comes with an optical picture stabilisation system to rival cameras three times its price. (OPS) technology prevents blurred pictures by shifting the CCD to counter any movement of the camera's body. This being built into the body of a DSLR means that there is no need to splash out on very expensive anti-shake lenses therefore keeping photography as low cost as possible.

Taking photos is easier with the PentaPrism viewfinder with its high magnification (0.95x) to provide a clearer, wider field of view (95%) for optimum shooting. For unrivaled viewing of photos the GX-10 also comes complete with a wide view 2.5" TFT LCD (210k pixels). With its powerful built-in Optical Picture Stabilization (OPS) technology, the GX-10 prevents blurred pictures by shifting the CCD to counter any movement of the camera's body. In addition, when a manual lens is used in ordinary digital SLR cameras, the camera's shake prevention mechanism does not function properly since the camera does not have the lens information. In the GX-10, however, the manual lens information can be input so that film cameras' manual lenses can also be used with the GX-10. The advanced design features of the GX-10 ensure it is robust enough for taking quality pictures in even wet, sandy or dusty conditions as the camera comes equipped with a special water-resistant and anti-dust sealing. The advanced dust removal function included in the GX-10 also removes potentially problematic dust from the CCD by vibrating it automatically when the camera is booted, resulting in perfect blemish-free pictures with minimum effort on the part of the photographer. A further dust barrier is provided by the special coating on the CCD's protective window.
