I bought this phone in October and have been extremely pleased since. I didn't want to spend too much on a new phone as I'm not that into spending to much money on technology. I saw this was the... more

Advantages Advantages Versatile phone offering a responsive screen, excellent sound quality, good internet browsing

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life, clunky Kies software

A few months ago I decided to buy my daughter a new mobile phone. She had been using the Samsung Jet but her love of Twitter revealed the Jet to be lacking somewhat when it came to surfing the internet. My daughter rarely uses her phone to make calls, preferring to text or surf the web with it. It therefore made sense to get her a 3G phone so internet surfing was easier. There were other issues with the Jet, including a touchscreen which was notoriously non-responsive and a memory card slot which wasn't particularly reliable, constantly knocking the card out of place. Last year I got a Samsung ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, does lots

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Headphones

When it came to changing my contract and phone last year, I had no idea what I wanted. This was going to be the first time I would have an android phone so I knew that I wanted something easy to use and as silly as this may sound, I had acrylic nails at the time so I needed something easy to text with. After a sales woman let me play with quite a few different phones, I went with the Samsung Galaxy Ace, which seemed to do everything that I wanted. As I am on a contract, I didn’t buy the phone outright but it does cost me £35 a month which includes 600 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited ... more

Advantages Advantages User friendly, responsive & good size touch screen, lots of features, smooth to run

Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor battery life when using apps

I wanted to upgrade my phone last month and I was shocked, though I don't really know why, at how quickly phones seem to go outdated and are replaced by their 'newer version'. There are so many to choose from, and numerous tariffs you get hassled in to signing up to, that it's hard to decide unless you have a good idea of what it is you want. I knew a few improvements I wanted to see to my old phone, the Orange / ZTE San Fran, and the Samsung Galaxy Ace far exceeded my expectations, so I'm really happy with it. Samsung as a whole is a well-renowned company and one which I tend to admire and ... more

Advantages Advantages Yet to drop connection, runs Android, pretty cheap, nice screen

Disadvantages Disadvantages Built in 'Touchwiz' theme causes phone to be slow, only 256mb RAM

The Galaxy Ace is a smartphone by Samsung, it features an 800MHz processor and the price without contract clocks in around the £220 region. The Performance of the Phone The Samsung Galaxy Ace has an 800MHz single core processor, which is a little bit tame considering a lot of the higher end phones actually have dual and quad cores as of recent. The phone also has 256MB of RAM, which again may be considered tame by the hierarchy of extortionately expensive communication devices, but you never really see any disadvantges of this when using the phone. Using the default 'launcher' (basically ... more

Advantages Advantages Does what it is supposed to do, easy to get used to

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery runs out quicker when on the internet

My youngest daughter and my Other Half both had new phones over Christmas and they both got Samsung Galaxy Aces. I am always using their phones for one thing or another so I reckon I am able to give a good review of what they are like. The phones are really nice looking, a bit like my Galaxy Y but a bit bigger all round. The phone comes with an extra back so you can change the appearance of the phone. My daughter changed her back to the white colour with black on the front where as my Other Half kept his black all over. The screen on this phone is 3.5 inches and looks really nice. It is very ... more
