After receiving Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 as a birthday gift, the first thing that I liked about it were its good looks. It looked, and still does after a year, trendy and stylish. It is comfortable to hold in your hand due to its moderate size, especially in comparison with newer larger models.
I was also impressed with the phone's features. In my opinion, the camera takes quite good-quality pictures and the alarm and other sounds are all loud enough to hear even in crowded places. The screen is clear, big and bright,which will suite well for anyone with weak eyesight.
The phone supports most of Android applications,which is a lot, though it was unable to load some larger games(e.g. Temple Run). I believe that the phone is not very speedy, but just exactly what you would expect for its price. Also, for me there were no difficulties with understanding how to use any of the phones features and applications. Everything is very clear and easy-to-use.
Though personally I find some of Galaxy Ace's quirks quite difficult to cope with. For example, in the winter it was hard to answer a call outside because to do so you have to touch the screen, but at low temperatures the screen reacted a lot slower than usual. I had to call people back more than once because of this. Though this quirk disappeared when spring arrived.
Also, in my opinion, the battery dies too quickly, it needs to be recharged daily, sometimes twice a day, depending on how much you use it.
From my point of view, reception also is not one of Galaxy Ace's strong sides. It has no reception in a lot of places, and I had been unable to discover any sort of pattern - sometimes reception just disappears. The best way to get it back is to reload the phone.
All in all, I find Samsung Galaxy Ace to be a satisfactory gadget with an appropriate price and overlookable disadvantages, for people who do not need a high-performing technology, but simply require a device to keep in touch with the world and entertain themselves with some games occasionally.
