Advantages Advantages Screen, GPS, WiFi, Apps are great

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Plasticky

Smartphones are the item to be seen with these days, they are as much a fashion accessory as they are an essential communication aid. It represents the convergence of phone, PDA and computer technology into a simple user friendly unit that does everything you need plus some things you don't need. From the early market dominance of Windows Mobile platform consumers were ripe for the picking until the arrival of the uber stylish Apple iPhone which single handedly revolutionised communications and made the smartphones market into a turf war. A combination of style, pedigree and usability made the ... more

Advantages Advantages fast internet, applications, quick to google search

Disadvantages Disadvantages bad battery, slightly awkward keypad

Hello all, i have had this phone for 6 months now and i've been through some turbulent times with it! The basic design of the phone is great, very easy to use, found my way around it very quickly with the hard buttons and the touch screen working well together. very handy having the web button to go straight to a google search, especially as i got the phone for internet use. The feature of a home button is also very handy. Being on android, the phone is operated by google, meaning it has its own set of applications separate from iphone, but generally quite similar. They are normally free to ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks good, customizable with apps, nice size

Disadvantages Disadvantages battery life not very good

I have always loved my mobile phones, ever since my Nokia 5110, I have not been able to leave the house unless my phone is in my hand. When my nice new shiny galaxy arrived i couldn't wait to get going with it, only I couldn't! Really, no word of a lie, I could not do a thing with it! The touch screen was overly sensitive, they keys on the keyboard too small and close together and my phone numbers? well I certainly could not find them. Android? Alien more like! I was absolutely gutted, convinced I had made the wrong choice. However I persevered with it, read the instructions (something I do ... more

Advantages Advantages Has cool gizmo's and features, a tough exterior and just looks funky .

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bluetooth a big let down - but if you can get past that A++++

......with what i felt a major drawback. Pro's: I was impressed with the amount of cool applications i could download from the internet! You can get anything from a coin tosser to a gps speedometer, my favourite being the fully functioning metal detector...most of the aps are free but there are some sites that charge you for downloading but you dont have to use these as the free aps are more than sufficient. The phone has built in Wi-Fi so can access the internet for free but if no Wi-Fi hotspots available, you can connect using 3G through your network provider at there tarriff rates. The ... more

*NOTE* I have written this review for dooyoo.co.uk under the same account name (musl1m) this review is all my own work. The most desirable feature of this phone at least in my opinion is the software - Android. Android has completely changed the smart phone market so that now you don't need to depend on Apple or Blackberry for a capable smart phone you can have the same functionality from any manufacturer. That moves me on to Samsung who don't have a great history of making good smart phone. That was the first thought in my head when I began using this phone, I've had previous experience with ... more
