I recieved my Samsung HMX-U10 as a Christmas present back in 2009, and at first sight was put off by the way it 'bent back' slightly at the top. But eventually the camera grew on me, and now I love it.

DESIGN & ONE TOUCH FEATURE:

As stated above, the camera comes in five different colours. The design isn't the best I've seen, but it does look reasonably good. The camera has a 2 inch screen, 3 buttons - Record, View, Take Photo - and 3 touch sensitive buttons under it - Back, Settings, and the One Touch YouTube Sharing button. This button is very handy if you like to shoot videos and upload them to YouTube. Just connect to any PC via USB, select the files you want to share and press the One Touch Sharing button. It couldn't be easier.

The camera also has a standard tripod hole at the side.

VIDEO QUALITY:

The video quality of this camera is absolutely outstanding. You can choose to shoot in 480p, 720p, and 1080p (Full HD). Also there is an option for Time Lapse Recording. Time Lapse Recording is stunning and useful for filming a flower blooming, or anything alike.

The only drawbacks are that it is bad in a low-light enviroment, as the camera has no flash, and the sound quality is poor.
The built-in mic is poor quality, and there is no socket for an external mic. A third drawback is the zoom feature is not availible in 1080p (Full HD) Mode.

IMAGE QUALITY:

The image quality is the same as video - phenomenal.
The image resolution is 10MP (3648 x 2736). They are JPEGs.
Overall, they are immense quality, however (of course) the quality fades the more you zoom in.
Again, having no flash option is a drawback.

BATTERY:

The camera has a sealed battery, which in my opinion doesn't last very long on a single charge - although same goes with most cameras.

OVERALL:

Overall, this camera is well worth it's money - and a great buy. I highly reccomend it to you if you have poor/no video already, and would like a make a change to that.
