My son wanted a new tv for christmas, he's into gaming via x-box live and wanted a tv for his room, that has a big enough screen and HD to get the full effects from the games.
After searching many sites for tv's and finding that the prices for anything quality were hitting £300+ just for the tv, obviulsy because its for a child room (10) I also wanted a guarantee for at least 5 years adding a cost of £89.99+ depending on the retailers.

After testing quickly through plugging in the sy box and the x-box i cannot fault anything about this tv. It has its own quick set up. It looks very smart with its high gloss black screen and very nice red light across both bottom corners of the casing. I think my son is going to be delighted with this. And for £349 including delivery and 5 years guarantee i think i got a bargain.

...product was at the time Samsung had recently won an award for the best quality LCD TV. I like this TV as it was smart looking, and appeared to have all the features I required, such as built in freeview, scart sockets and also a lot of ports on the back for my laptop, home cinema system and games consoles. The majority of the time I do not have any problem with the picture on this television although it does appear to have an auto contrast feature, ... ...to watch a program that has a dark picture as it appears to make the picture darker. I have looked through the settings several times to see if there is a way to switch this off with no joy unfortunately. I also find that the guide does not update so the majority of the time you try to check what is on and it is still an hour behind.
As for the general picture quality it is very good for a 720p and I have not had any problems with any other features.

I just bought one of these.Set up was quick and easy, just a few screws for the stand then turn it on and answer few questions and it sets it self up in a less than 3 minutes.This TV has ports and connectivity both in the rear and the left side of the unit.This TV is just awesome, perfect picture brilliant sound and so very easy to setup+it has great shape remote control.Samsung Series 4 LCD TVs are HD Ready.Picture quality is fantastic with DVD ... ...with PSP so I decided to connect my Play station 2 to see what happens.Quality was superb.This TV is realy great for gaming.Simple menu screen helps you make a selection of set up choices to get what you want from picture and sound.The picture quality is excellent on freeview and even better with Sky.It is possible able to hook a number of audio-video devices thanks to its scart socket and three HDMi sockets.

On opening the box I was struck by how glossy ad good looking this product is. Its glossy black finish is certainly a good addition to our living room.

I have had this TV for about a year and it is very good. It looks very good and will fit in with most set ups. I have this TV connected to my computer with a HDMI cable and it looks great. The picture quality is very good and its colour settings is very useful. It can be quickly changed from Cinema to Gaming or Normal and this really helps for a better viewing quality.
