This TV wasn't my first choice when buying a TV. In fact, I actually bought a Sony KDL40V3000 but after a few days it got a fault where a 4" line of white pixels appeared on the right hand side of the screen. I took the TV back to Currys where I purchased it and as they had no others in stock I was given the option of selecting another TV. I opted for the Samsung LE40A556 and I'm so glad I did.

LE40A556P is , quite simply the dogs dangly bits.
As my wife had expressed concerns about making such a large purchase on-line, i went to Currys armed with my on-line prices. To begin with they wanted £899.99 but when i told them I could get it for £679.99 online they immediately matched it without even asking who was offering this price. £220 off!!!!!!!
Anyhow, got the telly home and followed the very simple quick set up instructions-basically ... ...cable goes) and turn the power on, It auto sets up the channels, even for my Wii, so within about 2 minutes I was up and running, quicker than any telly I have ever owned.
The picture is fab, even for non-HD programmes and the telly looks great. The speakers are fine for me but if you are into multi-speakers/surround sound these can be set up easily, wireless if you want.
All the menus for tweaking it to your own preferences are very simple to ...
