2) there is an issue with some type of ghosting, this can even be seen on both xbox 360 and Blu-ray movies, both are connected to the tv ... ...one part of the movie is a conversation between Bruce Willis and a woman, Bruce is wearing black cammo paint, the camera flicks between the two to follow the conversation but when it flicks to the woman you can still see the outline of bruce willis's face for a half a second or so, im noticing this effect more and more, the response time on the LCD panel is slow.. as mentioned i can notice this too sometimes flicking thru the xbox 360 dashboard but ... more

The sound quality is quite poor but spending a little time going thru the sound options should help you get something that you can live with.
Don't get me wrong, this is a good value for money TV if you can live with the mentioned problems and it does have good points, the black levels are the best ive seen on a LCD so far and in general the HD picture is amazing but if you are using this tv for family viewing then the poor viewing angles may be a big problem.
Advantages: A real Looker, Efficient and great picture Disadvantages: Nothing to report
The Samsung LE40B530 is a thing to behold! it looks elegant and stylish and keeps up with the usual samsung look I am used to seeing. I think as far as tvs go it is by far the finest looking television on the market at the moment. The picture quality is brilliant and the sound is sharp, clear and is high quality. Advantages: Picture quality, stylish, excellent size, best in its market Disadvantages: I liked it when they made white TV's
From my experience as a Samsung TV sales person a while ago, I had the opportunity to take an ex display TV home to get a true life feel of the TV so I could explain to customers the benefits. Honestly, you can't fault the LE-40B530. I've partially owned nearly the full range, at the moment I have a Series 7. The blacks are excellent, especially watching movies. The colours are bright and vibrant and always manage to suck you into watching more TV ... ...buy a Samsung at all. There's no bias there, I worked for them, but also sold other TVs and big names such as Sony or Philips just can't match Samsung for the quality, price and overall style factor. Get one ! Please rate my review, thanks :) ...

Fantastic product, Samsung make great LCD TV's great TV at the price.
I have mounted the TV on the wall and channelled the wires into the wall and it looks fantastic, the lovely square, black lines makes it perfect. To mount the TV was really easy, just four bolts in the back using a bracket I purchased separately.
Really easy to tune in, the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

This Samsung LE40B530P7WXXU 40'' LCD TV comes in a glossy black finish complete with built-in Freeview, enabling access to Freeview channels and radio stations.
