I had the misfortune to receive a faulty set. On taking it out of the box, it looked great. I plugged it in and the picture came on for just a second and then disappeared without autotuning as expected. On connecting a DVD player, the picture again came on for a second and then disappeared. The sound continued, though. I had to return it and got a Sony Bravia instead. Very pleased with this. Btw, the Sony model was well taped up with plastic which I removed only after the whole thing was set up. The Samsung had no such protection, and I got a few finger prints on it before I even plugged it in.
