Samsung LE32A457 was my first ever Samsung purchase, I am generally a Sony man - but started noticing over the recent past that the numbers on Samsung products were becoming more and more impressive so decided to plump for this screen for my mother's bedroom. Out of the showroom and into the bedroom the picture looked even more artificial and the thing started to give me problems - not the screen as such but my mother's disappointment with the quality of the pictures and the artificial nature of it - took the thing back and bought and got a refund.
Notwithstanding the above, I still am generally impressed by the number of features that Samsung is able to squeeze into a model at the costs that they do - hopefully quality will improve in the future.
Purchased the Samsung LE32A457 on the 2nd July '08. Found it to be very easy to set-up the basic video & sound. To get the best from this model you do have to tweak all the settings, and there are plenty of them. The defaults are OK but was a lot, lot better after my personal settings. I was impressed with the picture quality and I don't have to have the volume up high to hear the sound clearly. I would suggest you buy a HDMI cable if you have anything ... ...well. I then unconnected the three Scart Leads I needed for my old TV.
The only draw back is the black surround needs cleaning quite often as it attracts the dust quite a lot.
All in all, a very good quality HD LCD Television, clear & sharp vivid colours and the price was right for me from Laskys, delivered free in three days. ...

I bought my Samsung LE32A457 on the 1 July 2009 at my local Currys and I have been very satisified with the quality. It does take a bit of tinkering to get the best out of the TV i.e adjust sound settings, however I was very impressed with the picture quality and sound.
The only draw back is the black surround needs cleaning quite often as it attracts the dust quite a lot. This is only a slight drawback and I am sure this is a common problem for ...

Bought in Dec 08 and am very pleased with my first experience with LCD television, it came a a very pleasant surprise, the ease of the setup, engineer only took 5 minds from unpacking to going out the door, we were a bit puzzled by various controls, (still are), but we are getting used to them, slowly. We are very pleased with picture quality and all the other features and would recommend one to any of my friends,relatives as an excellent TV. Paid approx £340 for it(my only question is,is this expensive?)
