There aren't many cameras that I would rave about, but this one I can't help it. It first caught my eye when I saw one of my friends using it, and upon hearing it was 14.7mp, I was really impressed. The results looked amazing on the screen, too. So the next weekend I had a look for it and found it on Play.com and Argos. It was cheaper from Argos, and I also prefer buying things from shops rather than online too, so I purchased it.
When I got home, I straight away plugged it in to my laptop so it could start charging, I couldn't wait to start taking photos on it. The charge took very little time at all, probably about half an hour for full battery, and I found that having full battery on this camera does last ages. I've had the camera for about 3 months now, and use it avidly, and I think I've only had to re-charge it about 5 times! The camera comes with a strap, charger, USB cable, manual and the cables you need to plug it into a TV (haven't tried this yet though).
One of the first things that I really liked about the camera was the pop-up flash, that comes out automatically or if you simply turn the flash on. It's a strong flash that I find covered a lot of distance, and then you can use your finger to click the flash back into place. This flash is better than most in-built ones on compact cameras as it's sort of external to the camera, but connected to it at the same time.
Another impressive feature is the touchscreen. Yep, thats right, a touchscreen camera. You use the touchscreen to change the settings to take a photo, to scroll through old pictures, and to edit photos. Unfortunately, this does mean that lots of fingerprints and smudges are often on the screen, but these can be wiped away with anything soft. The screen is really big, much bigger than any other compact camera I've had, so it's a lot easier to see the pictures.
The camera has an on/off button, and all the different camera modes 'auto', 'landscape', 'portrait', 'night', 'video' etc can be used by turning the scroll wheel which is conveniently next to the shutter button for ease of use.
The different modes are very useful, but generally for most pictures I turn the camera to 'auto', as it's very clever and usually knows all the right settings to take a photo. A particular feature I like is that you can change the focus modes, so either you have one point of focus (the middle of the screen), or lots of different points of focus, and the camera then cleverly detects where these are and then you take the photo.
Transferring pictures to the computer is really simply. A USB lead comes with the camera, so you connect one end to the camera and the other end to the computer, select 'Computer' on the camera screen and then you can do everything from the computer. I find the easiest way to do it is to go to My Computer, click on the camera, and then all your photos are there, easy as that!
This camera gives really professional results and yet at the same time is compact therefore is easy to carry around with you!

Advantages: Great touchscreen interface for the navigation of menu options and altering camera settings Disadvantages: The pop up flash gets in the way of where you normally hold the camera.
