Samsung redefines the large screen notebook, the M40 Series is the lightest 17" notebook in the world; the first 17" notebook under 3Kg weight providing no compromise in mobility with such a large display. The M40 is not light on features; Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Intel Centrino Mobile Technology means this is a high performance business tool. A large screen demands high performance graphics and the M40 does not disappoint, the ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics processor provides high performance with cool running for such a thin and light notebook. ...I have had the laptop for over a year now and I have been very impressed with it.
The overall built quality is very good, only marred by the tendancy to make slight marks on the silver finished case.
The fingerprint reader has been excellent. I can log into the work domain with one finger and log on locally with another - I kid you not.
The performance of the laptop has been very good. The PentiumM chip is certainly far better than any previous laptop cpu I have used.
The laptop came with a useable 512mb of memory which so far I haven't had the need to upgrade.
The graphics provided by the laptop is not the usually onboard affair. The pc is powered by an ATI 9700 Mobility chip. The power the the gpu has been impressive - I recently took the laptop to a Computer Lan and a friend of mine used the laptop to paly Counterstrike and Half...

...I have used this laptop now for quite some time and have come over hardly any difficulties with it! For its size its a very good and fast little tablet! With its own sensitive screen you can use the tablet pen to be your mouse and turn it into 'tablet mode'. The screen is very sensitive and the pixels very easily get damaged. Their is no cd/dvd at all supplied with it but then again, its got so much to offer!
Here are its specifications ....

Advantages: Very light, fantastic screen, good battery life Disadvantages: 512 meg memory is a bit mean, Sony setup
...with the ATi Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics adapter so you'll be able to play the latest 3D games available.
Adobe Photoshop is both memory and processor hungry. I've upgraded the RAM from the standard 512 to 1 gig (Kingston) and with this mod the unit runs as quickly as my 3500 64 bit AMD desktop.
With a weight of only two kilo's 2kg, the VGN-S2XP is small and light enough to be carried in my case or in a rucksack when I'm on my bike.
The Intel PentiumM745 processor, which runs at a clock speed of 1.8GHz and supported by the standard, but upgradeable, 512MB of memory. Not the fastest but fast enough to run most (Photoshop, Office, Power DVD, Adobe Premiere) applications easily.
There's a thin but fast DVD RW optical drive, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a modem port, a LAN port and a Memstick slot.
An ultra portable notebook is only as good...

I for one, absolutely love the look of this acer. The bottom of the laptop just looks really cool, and the top looks ok too. One only criticism on the look, would be that the plastic at the tip of the screen is a little thick, but then again it does have more
This is the first time I have ever done a review on anything, so I hope this is of some use to someone. I have just recently (within the last month) splashed out on one of these and since no-one else has done so yet, I thought I would share my... more

The low end processors market is not as greatly disputed such as mainstream and high end processor market and also if you noticed few reviews are written about them, few more
