...This is a really good student laptop and stylish; it's very powerful (especially when you upgrade it like I did).
It's got a PentiumM 735 processor which works speedily with 512 RAM and Centrino means that this has a long battery life.
The wireless LAN is brilliant, it's just a shame that this laptop doesn't have infrared or bluetooth, which would make it a super relatively cheap laptop. I got this with student discount, which some universities provide with certain brands, so I got a good price for this.
This didn't come with Office - it seems a bit of a hefty price for Office not to be included, but they did bundle in Sonic Record!, a fairly good CD burning software, and OneNote, and all the Toshiba products for notebooks, such as Wireless Diagnoser etc. The CD writer is very good, it's 24X, which is fairly fast...

Advantages: High performance, Quality 17" screen Disadvantages: Can get hot quicklly
...Amilo M3438G
This is a great notebook. The Amilo M3438G has a great 17" screen made by NVDIA GeForce Go 6800 and it is amazing. Wheather you want to use the notebook for word processing surfing the web the display is amazing. But the one thing that really makes the display on this laptop stand out is when you are using it for games. When playing a game on this screen not only have you got 17" of pure NVDIA technology but the graphics are breathtaking.
Now the sound is also amazing and very clear. I have never had any problems when using it. Also the headphones quality is also very clear.
The laptop CPU is also amazing and can withstand a lot. You can run several high performing programs and still have very good quality. The speed of the laptop always stuns me.
The laptop also has a wireless modem built into it and can pick...
