I am very pleased with this A4 mono laser printer. It is an ideal printer for use in the home environment being extremely quiet , the first page appears very quickly and the printer has been appaulded for it's economy. My newest printer arrived in 3 days after being ordered online. from a major high street retailer. It is small and compact -weighing in at about 9.5 kg and being less than 35 cm wide and deep and only 16 cm tall it will easily replace most printers. Unpacking it and setting it up took 4 minutes following the simplest of instructions. Be aware that the necessary USB cable was not included but £5 secured one from my local computer shop. Both the paper tray and the output are accesses from the front - as is the single slot feeder. There is an option to collect printed material from the back. The associated software loaded easily and although very functional has a pleasing interface. I have yet to explore all of the software options.. The lack of controls on the machine make it easy to use although it would be better if the on/off switch was at the front and did not require one to grope around the back. The tonersave button does what it says on the tin and although the text is a little grey it makes the machine suitable for those droft jobs. The speed is excellent, warmup takes about 10 seconds and the quality amazing for a sub £100 printer never mind a sub £60 item. The included toner cartridge has an expected life of only 1000 pages although the replacements have a quoted life of 3000 pages for about £60. I have seen bottles of tone available for as little as £5 and the cartridge is easily refilled so I expect very very cheap printing. I already own a Samsung laptop which has performed faultlessly for 5 years so I expect the same from this machine. I can 't find this printer listed on the Samsung UK site but they have the drivers for a variety of OS and a copy of the included manual. I have yet to contact the manufacturer for help but I would like to see the specs etc online. The box says USB1 but it works on USB2 - USB1 is fast enought for printers anyway. If you have a high print load this may not be the printer for you but for home use particularly text only it is the way to go.
