Advantages Price, Ease of use, overall product

Disadvantages battery life, mouse

The Samsung N130 netbook is a great little netbook for the price you pay, and the power that it delivers. Firstly this is a netbook so it can’t compete with a laptop or PC which is obvious, but does what it says: it’s a NETbook. Browsing the net on this netbook is quick with a fast internet connection, from browsing to downloading. This includes email, facebook, shopping and even youtube. Can work with multiple windows open though can slow if sites have a lot of java script. Would highly recommend upgrading an extra gig of ram, but this is up to you and is very simple to do. Playback is good which is the most surprising aspect, have been able to stream full matches to a good not perfect quality, with no lag or stuttering. Files saved on the hard drive playback to a really good almost DVD quality, but if video playback is what you want a netbook probably isn’t for you. The screen is a good size, also has a vga output so can hook it up to a monitor or even an LCD TV as most have vga input. The sound is good in a quiet room, but outdoors will need a headset. The battery life for simple tasks like emails and typing documents is about 5 hours, but once you start streaming or doing multiple things this drops quickly to a couple of hours.

This has a great look about it. Doesn’t have a gloss finished but this is an advantage in my opinion, because it doesn’t get covered in finger marks and smudges. The keyboard is well spaced and perfect for surfing the net and writing smaller documents. Large documents or using it all day to type will probably become annoying making little mistakes on it, but for surfing the net and general use its very comfortable. The mouse can stick at times which can become frustrating, so a mouse is needed when using at home and if possible on the go. Carrying it around its strong and can handle being in and out of a backpack all day.

Price is what appeals about this netbook. Its one of the cheapest in the market considering most need upgraded ram and a mouse, and the specs of it don’t seem to be different to other netbooks or drastically different. Has enough hard drive space to easily cater for downloading music, movies or large files.

This is so easy to setup, just turn it on and type in your windows code that comes with it. The manual and all extra programs are loaded on, as is some trial software like anti-virus, which can be replaced after it expires for free software or you can pay for the full product. Setting up an internet connection is just as simple.

This is a great little netbook, it doesn’t have the power or features of a laptop but for the price is well worth it. I have had one for 6 months and haven’t had any dramas at all. I’ve hooked my LCD TV up to it with a vga cable and can stream and surf the net at the same time with no lag and to a surprisingly good quality . The battery life isn’t great on it when trying to do to much on it when not near a power point, but still has enough to not really cause any massive problems. Overall for the price and what you get this is value for money and a very good product.
