I have owned my Samsung NV3 for well over a year now, and it still manages to impress me every time I use it. As a camera, it is amazingly user friendly, packs a bunch of great features, is highly reliable, looks superb, and is extremely good value. Oh, and its not bad at taking pictues either. In fact, the pictures are outstanding. The NV3 finds the perfect balance feature wise; it won't overwhelm, but has plenty of depth with regards to options. For those who know how, there is plently to adjust to your liking, but you can also take a pre-set option, which, thanks to the 'Scene' mode, there are many of, for every occasion. It is extremely easy to use, with simple menus to help you change eveything from megapixels to shutter speed to the flash, as well as add effects and even audio. The camera also has an anti shudder feature, which stops pictures from being wrecked by shaky hands. The NV3 also takes lighting into account, and tells you if there is sufficient light. Battery life is impressive enough, although if you draw on all the multimedia features it won't last long. The memory card system works well, allowing you as much memory as you like - my 2gb SD card holds about 600 photos on max settings. The video camera is also none too shabby, although the frame rate isn't great, so for nothing mreo than occasional amateur use. However, it is more than good enough for short filming periods, with the built in microphone picking up noise very well indeed. It is very simple to view pictures on the camera, and they look good on the fairly large LCD screen. Videos also look clean and crisp, with the speakers proving decent enough too. The NV3 is extremely good. Excellent multimedia, great photos, tonnes of features, user friendly, and highly reliable - I've yet to have a problem with mine in about 18 months. It works well with both mac and pc too. It really is a Jack Of All Trades, and proves more than competent in all, excelling in the important ones. For the price it's extremely good.
