After owning my little 2 mega pixel camera for 4 years now, i decided to finally buy myself a decent camera.

I live in the UK so the price for electronics isn't always cheap. I have found that i could find something in one shop to be one price and then go into a different shop and it could be half the price! It is both confusing and frustrating!

After hunting around different shops in the UK i decided to wait until i went on my yearly family holiday to Florida, to get one. So I did.

I bought this awesome little camera for $149.99, it didn't come with a memory card to i bought a 8GB memory card that was on sale for $12.99. So in total i spent about $170 dollars on my camera. With the exchange rate at the time, it was about 130 pounds in total! BARGAIN!

I looked in shops for this camera when i got home to see how much it was here and i was so amazed (and relieved) to see that it was being sold at 160 pounds with NO memory card! And to buy the 8GB memory card here would have cost me another 20 pounds.

THE SIZE

The size is compact and will fit into your bag/pocket very easily

THE WEIGHT

It is not very heavy which is a bonus because i found that most cameras i looked at were rather heavy.

THE LOOK

When you first look at it you might think "Well, were's the second screen!?" i thought this when i looked at it. The second screen blends in with the rest of the camera. It comes to life when you press the button at the top of the camera next to the ON button. You can see the picture on both screens.

THE SPECIAL FEATURES

It has face detection which most digital cameras have nowadays. It also has smile detection. I had so much fun with this with my Dad when we bought it. If you turn the smile detection on then it will only take a picture if you smile. I found this so funny. It has a mode where if you are taking a picture of a child it can play funny videos on the front of the screen for your child to see and smile at. So if you have a child that will refuse to smile, then this camera will probably work for you! It also has image stabilization so if you are like me and have shaky hands then the stabilization will control the picture quality, and prevent it from blurring.

It also has night mode, and a firework mode.

PICTURE QUALITY

It is a 12.4 mega pixel camera with a 3 inch LCD screen, 4 x optical zoom, 4 x digital zoom, which brings out brilliant picture qualities. I will put some pictures up that i took on holiday to show you just how brilliant they are.

Overall I love this camera to bits. I haven't had a lot to compare it to (any camera is better than my old camera, 2 mega pixels! lol) but i would say it is brilliant for holidays, celebrations or even just snapping about. It is easy to use and very straight forward!

NOTE : The pictures i have included aren't usually this size, they are a lot bigger but i have had to make them smaller to be able to upload them!
