However, if you are not interested in the settings and just want to take some holiday snaps or Birthday photos, you can use this eassily too. The camera's smart auto will choose the best settings for you to ensure great pics every time and with the dual image stabilisation, you don't have to worry about pictures coming out blurry because of your hands shaking. These features are really worthwhile and make a big difference when the camera is used by someone who may not be used to taking snaps. There are some other features that can help with problems such as the blink detection and red eye fixer. On the back of the camers there is a 3 Inch LCD screen that let's you have a good look at your photos before you print any. This is ideal for holidays, when you would like to see the photos but have no way of printing them. Another good holiday feature is the 5x zoom. This can let you get really close from very far away without losing very much quality at all. It's also useful for home photos as well. A very interesting feature is the Beauty shot, which can retouch photos staight away without the use of a computer. As with all things this is always better when done by a person beacasuse you can't always trust something automatic to be reliable. But is is very impressive as a feature on a camera. There is also a nice mnovie mode feauture, that is now a popular part of many digital cameras and walways comes second place to a nice camcorder. The menus are easy to scroll through if you want to fiddle with settings but as cameras go, this really does do a lot for you. The only problem would be that although it is pretty cheap,at around £150, it isn't a first camera price. And so some of the features are probably not as important to the owner as chances are, they have already solved the problem themselves.
To conclude, this is an impressive camera that has many great features and is really quite simple to use. The extras that other cameras don't have justifies the slightly higher price. I would say this is a very nice camera for most situations and it always has the capabilities for an unsuspected photo opportunity.
