Snap Happy Samsung!

Advantages: Great camera at a great price.
Disadvantages: None at the price, you get a great item for what you pay!

I bought this camera in ASDA at the incredible price of £75 in a gorgeous chrome silver colour (pictured). I am probably one of the most indecisive shoppers around, so when it came to buying a digital camera, I was thoroughly confused by the choice and newly released technology, meaning every week a new camera with more mega pixels and better zoom and a toaster built in was released! This certainly does not making chosing easy! Well, thanks to the advice of the very helpful assistant in ASDA, I was able to finally decide on the Samsung ES55 and have no regrets! Ok, so how do you chose the right camera for you? It's all about accepting there is SO much variety but making sure you know what you want, that way you can really trim down the choice. Also, pick a reliable brand and as I have been informed, Samsung are one of the best. I had ...

Samsung but smaller

Advantages: Very compact and lightweight, excellent value for money, great design with brilliant screen
Disadvantages: No dvd drive but this is to save on weight and you can pick up an external one for reasonable

Having previously had a laptop my wife recently decided to buy a new computer for herself as she felt she was not taking her laptop with her due to size and weight and so decided to opt to pick up the Samsung NC10 netbook. So you may have noticed that this is a netbook and be wondering what this exactly means...a netbook is a smaller, lighter weight laptop that is simply designed to handle internet browsing, e-mail and office software. The question I was asked by my wife before she picked this little gadget up was would this be able to play games? The answer is yes but of a limited variety as this is not designed with the same level of specs in as a normal pc or laptop (you would also need to purchase a cd or dvd drive for if you are looking at playing games that use a cd). Now down to the actual netbook itself...the Samsung is ...

Samsung's Neat Little Netbook

Advantages: Good performance, Good connectivity options, Good webcam, 160GB HDD, Upgradeable
Disadvantages: Not very good accessories, Picks up Fingerprints, Weird button under touchpad

(although I do still have the cloth from my Eee PC). USING The NC10 has a 1.6GHz Atom processor and 1GB of RAM, which doesn't sound like much but it is very nippy for a low cost notebook. Music and videos play smoothly as they would on a full size laptop. The memory is even upgradable as the 1GB memory can be swapped with a 2GB one for even more performance. Also, 160GB storage for something that was meant to just be for surfing the net is pretty good and would allow for a lot of downloading. I would prefer this over a Linux netbook with a Solid State Drive with limited storage. Battery life seems to last about 5 hours although they quote 7 hours (probably only if you have it with the lowest brightness and leave it idle). The Samsung NC10 has a 10.2 inch screen with a native resolution of 1024 x 600, which was one of the deciding ...
