The only cons I can see about this product is that the graphics card could have been better given the rest of the specs are high end.
Quite a sturdy laptop though obviously you cannot compare Acer with Lenovo.
Very fast processor, though not the Santa Rosa series but still pushed by the 2 GIG memory hence...

Advantages: Fast, good looking, ligtht, webcam, lightscribe Disadvantages: battery, software, hard disk size
Advantages: Big screen, Cheap, Big Hard Drive, Nvidia graphics, just very nice! Disadvantages: Noisy fan, glossy black cover can scratch easily
...I bought one of these in March 2008.
It's the first laptop I ever bought, so I was looking for something cheap, good-looking and that works well.
I came across this, lovely sleek black samsungR700, it has a nice big bright screen, so looking at it is great and it is easy to work on. Great for doing digital art/programming on.
The keys are nice although they have worn a little on mine already, after only a few months, but then I use them a lot, I have now moved to a wireless mouse and keyboard to save the life-span of the keys and mousepad. The mousepad has also worn a bit and has become "not very nice to the touch" where it hasn't got the same grittiness that it first had.
It runs very smoothly, I've tried a few of the latest games on it and it runs them fine for my standards with its 2GB Ram, and I have plenty of room for films...
