This fridge freezer is on wheels so although you'd think it was difficult to move it really isn't, I can move it easily!
The ice and water facilities are fantastic. You have to have it ... ...certainly not a plumber, managed with ease! We did have to buy a little tap to fit it to the pipe but that was only a few pounds compared to what you would have to pay a plumber! You simply put the tap to the pipe and screw, it pierces the pipe then you can attach the hose supplied with the fridge freezer! This means you never have to fill up the water or make ice cubes, and you always have cold filtered water available.

The ice and water facilities are fantastic. You have to have it plumbed into the mains pipe which my husband, who is certainly not a plumber, managed with ease! We did have to buy a little tap to fit it to the pipe but that was only a few pounds compared to what you would have to pay a plumber! You simply put the tap to the pipe and screw, it pierces the pipe then you can attach the hose supplied with the fridge freezer! This means you never have to fill up the water or make ice cubes, and you always have cold filtered water available.
You can either have the ice cubed or crushed and you can turn the ice facility off if you want to, whilst it is turned on it continuously makes ice which is stored inside the freezer in a kind of bucket ready to be dispensed so if you dont use a lot of ice it will get rather full.
The buttons on the front of the machine might look quite technical but are in fact really simple, there is a button for power freeze which is quite self explanatory, a freezer button which you press to adjust the temperature in the freezer, a fridge button which adjusts the temperature in the fridge, a vacation button which you turn on when you go on holiday and lastly an ice type button which changes the type of ice that is dispensed or turns the ice function off - this button is also used when you change the filter, you press and hold it for 3 seconds to reset the filter schedule. It also has a child lock facility, if you press the fridge button and vacation button simultaneously for 3 seconds all buttons will be locked and the ice and water dispensers will not work either, great if you have kids! To cancel the lock you simply press these two buttons for 3 seconds again.
The fridge is full length with 5 shelves and 2 big drawers at the bottom, there are 3 shelves on the door and a dairy compartment at the top. I still cant believe how much stuff you can fit in this fridge and the drawers at the bottom keep fruit and veg so fresh. The freezer has 3 shelves and 2 drawers at the bottom, there are 3 shelves on the door aswell. I have found that you cant really fit too much stuff in the freezer - the ice and water dispenser takes quite a lot of it's space. We have had to use another small freezer we had to keep any extra items in as there was simply not enough room. This is the only downfall of this item but i believe that the ice and water dispenser is worth sacrificing a bit of space in the freezer.
Overall I think this is a fantastic fridge freezer and although the freezer would be better if it was a bit bigger it certainly isn't a major problem and I certainly dont regret buying it, in fact it has to be the best thing I have bought! Its great for the kids as they actually enjoy drinking water for once!
So if you like lots of fresh food, water and ice on tap then this is definitely for you.

The Samsung RSH1DTMH is a big U.S style fridge freezer which has centre outward opening doors. Acually bought this brand new just recently on sale.
The Samsung RSH1DTMH is a silver coloured side by side fridge freezer and has an A+ energy efficient rating, which is the most efficiency fridge freezer you can get and will help a lot to lower the cost of running it. It actually has 530kWh/yr energy consumption as stated in the manual. This fridge freezer ... ...bacterial protection. The Samsung fridge freezer is very well designed, the doors open from the centre outwards and has an ice and chilled water dispenser. Also has 345L capacity, 4 glass shelves and salad drawers. The freezer has a 4 star rating, 179L capacity, fast freeze facility which freezes food much quicker, preserving the taste and texture and 2 drawers.

Advantages: No sacrifice of space to water filter/ice maker, loads of fridge space Disadvantages: Wine rack an optional extra, could benefit from another door shelf.
Great fridge-freezer! We ordered it from Laskys (see my separate review) as they were offering it for the cheapest price at the time.
Fridge side (on the right) is bigger than the freezer. We went for this model so we wouldn't need to plumb it into the cold water supply, and we wouldn't sacrifice lots of freezer space to an ice maker. It also has a handy spring-loaded ice tray too, which you fill up with water yourself & flip over the cubes into ... ...coolers so this should be more energy efficient and give you fault tolerance should one fail (you can still use the other half ok while the engineer is being arranged!)
Door shelves of fridge are plenty big enough for 2L bottles, but I would have preferred a 3rd one, rather than spacing them out as they have. the 2 salad crisper trays have "temperature optimisation" (whatever that is) but the build quality is sturdy, and the shelves are very strong. ...

Quick review of Samsung RSH 1 DTMH
i find the size and shape fit perfectly into the space i had in the kitchen. There is a ncie finish to the fride/freezer and i especially like the external ice/water feature as this is a new feature to me, having never owned a freidge/freezer with this accessory, i now realise i will not be able to live without it again! some shelves could do with some re-arrangement to keep certain items seperate but appart from that overall good product. recommeded. ...
