This is a very attractive camera. The screen is striking, in it's size and clarity. The controls are intuitive, my child was using it within minutes. It has internal memory and therefore stores pictures quickly. Some of the pictures are clear and luminous. The zoom is quiet and quick and surprisingly powerful. It is, however, more limited than earlier cameras we have owned. The focus is slow and can be fooled, some pictures are out of focus for no apparent reason. The macro is not very close and doesn't always focus clearly first time. We can't seem to turn off the digital zoom. The screen is useless in bright sunlight and there is no viewfinder. On the whole it's a brilliant camera for its price, but behaves much more like an old-fahioned compact camera and we'll take a while to get used to it.
