Samsung SCX-D4725A - toner cartridge

Advantages: Ease of use, reliability, print quality
Disadvantages: Quite expensive

.... There is a plastic strip that needs to be removed from the new toner cartridge before it can be used or no ink will come out! The HP 1100 has a clear and sharp quality to its printed images and each of these toners seems to give a consistent printing performance. On the packing HP warn us that the toner cartridge is responsible for 70% of the printer’s imaging system and so if you are not using an HP toner you are not getting HP printing. I can’t really make any argument against this point as my company has a policy of avoiding the use of non-HP replacement toners; therefore I cannot say whether a different toner type would have a dramatic effect on the printing quality or not! ...into the printer and this makes changing them over an easy job. On the packaging, HP makes a bit of song and dance about the toners being “Ultra Precise”. I thought you might like to enjoy the description that goes with the “Ultra Precise” title: “A major innovation in toner cartridge system design and functionality that enables a new standard in print quality and user interaction.” Well, if you’d like to know what any of that techno-babble means, you better ask HP. I’m baffled by it…but there we go! So, after having a quiet lie down in a dark room to recover from failing to work out what the “Ultra Precise” description means, it’s time to get the toner fitted into the printer. ...This toner cartridge is designed for use with the HP Laserjet 5P and 6P laser printers. These toners are used extensively at the company I work for as we have a number of 6P printers. The 03A is a black ink cartridge with an estimated life of 8,000 pages. (This will vary according to whether standard or presentation modes are used on the printer). This toner will retail at around the £70 mark depending on which supplier you use. The cartridge comes in a large-ish cardboard box and it securely packaged with cardboard holders to keep the toner from being shaken around too much. The cartridge is sealed in a black plastic bag, which seems to me to closely resemble bin bag material!
