Advantages: Good Quality, Easy to use, Good Spec to price
Disadvantages: Needs a little bit more memory, Not got reputation of sony etc

...I bought this laptop more for the price aspect and what seemed a good alround package. If I had the money had the time I would have been drawn more to the top brand like Sony etc. However this is a big mistake. There is nothing to fault this laptop on the specs are brillant for the price and the look and feel is just ace. If you need a cheap quality laptop buy this, If you want to pay more buy one of the other samsung laptops with better specs but trust me you will not be disappointed. The only upgrade I may suggest is the extra memory which is easy to install and make windows XP respond that bit better. Look for the windows XP Pro version if you need to use on a domain or save more money and buy with windows xp home (£60 saving).... Read review

Advantages: okay for Win95
Disadvantages: poor customer service

...I bought a Creative labs 48x drive a year ago, a CD4831. Until recently all was fine under Windows 95, the disk was very fast and reliable. An upgrade to Windows 98SE proved too much for this drive, it would frequently lock up, refuse to read disks and crash the pc. I searched for an updated driver having phoned the supplier, downloaded it from Cretive's site. The problems persisted, the supplier suggested trying Creative. One e-mail later they eventually responded saying they were unable to help as it was an OEM product. A visit to windrivers.com found a number of other users with similar problems..and no assistance from Creative. I have given up on this drive, the customer service is abysmal. Bought a Samsung 48x, this works very well. The shop said that they don't stock Creative due to the high levels of returns. The Creative... Read review

Advantages: Build, features, power, softmod!
Disadvantages: none really, maybe more RAM

...This is a brilliant card. I'll start with whats in the box: The Card The All in Wonder Remote The All in Wonder USB reciever The All in Wonder breakout box ( for connecting to tv, camcorders etc) Drivers Batteries for the remote S-Video lead Quick start guide The card is a Built By ATi, built on a red board. This version from Hercules comes with Samsung RAM, the same as on the pro version, and runs at the same clock speeds as the pro. This is very high quality stuff, and other manufacturers boards come with lower quality RAM on board. This version of the 9800SE also has the 256bit memory bus, this is quite comlicated to explain, but basically it is twice as fast as the 128bit found on other brands. The only difference between the Pro and the SE is that the Pro has 8 render pipelines, the SE has four disabled so it only uses the other... Read review
