My current phone recently started to crash and break down after five minutes of being switched on. I began to panic as Im going on holiday this week and I needed a phone that worked, in case of emergencies. I didn't want to spend loads on a phone as I am getting a new one through installments at the end of the months, and it wouldn't be here in time if I ordered it just now. I rushed round the shops looking for the cheapest, practical phone I could find. Then i went into Virgin and discoved what seemed to be a fantastic bargain. I was getting a phone, plus five pound credit, and two hundred air time minutes, all for an amazing TWENTY POUND! But was it worth it...?
***Looks*** This phone looks no different from the more popular, up-to-date D900, so I am not embarrased to have this phone out in public. Infact, it's sleek and shiny design makes me feel quite proud when I slide it up, all ready to communicate with the world!
***Texting*** As I am with Virgin now, texts are only 10p, and even better, 3p to Virgin customers! There is no problem the the cost! And there are a lot of other things great about the texting! It comes with premade smilies ready to be inserted, from 'angry' to 'rose', 'laughing' to 'beer'. As well as this, you can change the size of your text, underline and, and also strike through it!
***Calls*** When making a call, there is a little jingle noise to let you know that the call has been connected and the phone is either ringing, or on answer machine/voicemail. The sound is very clear, even in a busy surrounding. You can also turn up the sound of the caller.
***Features*** As this is just a temporary phone, I was not too bothered when I found that it did not have bluetooth or a camera. In fact, it does not have much! It does come complete with alarm, calendar and calculator, as well as a few unneccesary features as well such a To Do, and World Time.
**Ringtones** The tones that come with the phone are your usual, cheesy polyphinic sounds, ten of them in total. I am stuck with a really mellow song just now, but I think you can send songs from other phones.
**Memory** The phone memory on this is not that great. There is little room for picture messages etc. You can store up to 220 messages, and around 300 contacts.
***Weight*** The C300 is not too heavy for a phone, but for its small size, it weighs a little but it's not to heavy to handle.
***BatteryLife*** The shops say charge this phone for six hours, but I had it in for no more than an hour, and on screen was a message saying it was fully charged. The battery lasts for quite a few days if you do not use it that often.
***** In all, this phone is wonderful if you are interested in the basics only, or as a temporary form of contact. But not that good if you are looking for a multi-tasking modern day piece of technology!
