On this model you can add a photo to the front ... ...are the earphones; when will Samsung invent smaller earphones for the smaller ear?! Also, unless your phone shop provides any "package deals", you'll have to purchase a seperate memory card & reader to sync with your PC (unless you already have one).
The calendar facility is still pretty basic. The Memo and To-Do optinons cannot be alarm set but the Schedule and Anniversay can.

On this model you can add a photo to the front screen as well as another to the main wallpaper, which is a nice touch. The battery life is great, as is the charge time.
The biggest bonus for me was that it accommodates a memory card to expand the memory for photos MP3s, etc. Saying that, the MP3 player is brilliant and does actually last for over an hour when played continuously. The controls on the front are also handy.
Downside though are the earphones; when will Samsung invent smaller earphones for the smaller ear?! Also, unless your phone shop provides any "package deals", you'll have to purchase a seperate memory card & reader to sync with your PC (unless you already have one).

Although you can set MP3s as ringtones, you cannot set them as text message tones. The built-in tones are not desirable, I even wish I still has the "ding dong" message tone from my other phones!
As before, you can set tones/MP3s and photos to seperate callers so you can see and hear who's calling.
All in all, a reliable phone, pretty sleek and much lighter in weight than previous models. Not very "pretty" though from a girls' point of view as it only comes in graphite grey! Does all a phone really needs to do, include taking really good photos.
I wasn't disappointed but am waiting to see what Samsung will surprise me with next time!
Advantages: You can get good ringtones, fits neatly in pocket or bag, good mp3 player Disadvantages: Message tones are naff
I switched to Samsung from Nokia when the the E700 came out and have had the E720 and now have the E770, and can't believe the difference in sound quality between the three of them. This one has excellent sound quality on ringtones and on the MP3 player, plays videos, records videos, takes fairly good photos (for a mobile) which you can use as screensavers on the main screen or the little front screen. It has voice activated controls, bluetooth (handy ... ...memory capacity and able to take a memory card. The battery lasts well and gives a fair few hours of talk time. The menus are easy to navigate. I'm sure there are alot of other things on there that I've not used yet. The only disadvantage I have come across is that you cannot use an MP3 tone as a message alert tone and the ones supplied on the actual phone are pretty naff. All in all though a great phone, and when I upgrade in 12 months time I will ...

Advantages: Slim, Robust, Good Sound quality Disadvantages: key pad can be awkward if you have big fingers and message tones are rubbish!
Moved to the samsung from a rubbish motorola, nice little phone, slim, lightweight and very robust as i have dropped it a few times without breaking it. Only let down is the rubbish ring and message tones it has, in comparison to many other phones. Picture quality is good on the camera and you can use them as screensavers and also as a front screen when your phone rings. MP3 is good and you also have the ability for voice activated dialling which ...
