I originally bought the LG Chocolate cause it was going to be much better than anything else, how wrong I was!
It broke three times in seven months so I gave up on it and opted for the Samsung E900. Best phone decision I've ever made. I was pleased when I opened the box to find a stylish and sophisticated, compact phone, USB cable, Charger, headset and the Samsung PC Studio Disc, and mine came complete with a two-year warranty. It pays to shop around.
I chose the pink model, although I have seen it in the black which is also quite stylish, and been told it's also available in Silver and in Gold. I paid £99.99 for mine on O2 pay as you go, but have seen it advertised on other networks for as little as £79.99.
This slider phone weighs in at 93g and their dimensions are a mere 93 x 45 x 16.5mm. When closed it has a touch sensitive control pad on the front, (which unfortunately the cancel button does take a bit of getting use to) then slide the phone up to reveal an alphanumerical key pad for calling and messaging.
The phone has standard text, multi media and email messaging, although I still haven't found the apostrophe when texting yet. It has a 262k TFT LCD colour screen, built-in 2 mega pixel camera with 4 x digital zoom, Video capture and playback, MP3 player and of course, now standard bluetooth.
Its battery life is capable of 220 hours standby time, however if you like to chat like I do the battery drains quite quickly. I'm not sure of the exact amount of talk time but it's around 2 - 3 hours.
I've only just recently learned myself that dual and tri band etc are all to do with frequencies and roaming. This phone comes complete with tri band and for all though I have not had to use it yet, it's handy to know that I can still use it if I do go abroad.
It's got an 80 MB internal memory of it's own which is more than enough for your extra ring tones, games and screen savers etc… but it also has the Micro SDmemory stick slot if you use all your phones function i.e. MP3 player.
Overall I am very pleased with my phone, it looks good and performs well. It is also very user friendly and hardwearing. I've drop mine twice so far and haven't had a problem so far.
------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------- I feel a bit thick now, but I thought I better let you all know I found the apostrophe and more. You hold down the Hash key which pulls up a menu detailing all the symbols.
Next time I should get use to the product a little more before trying to write a review.
