I got the Samsung F480 recently as a free upgrade from my contract provider, I don't think I would have paid for this phone as I'm fairly clumsy and wouldn't have been convinced the large screen would have lasted more than a month.
The phone itself however isn't as fragile as it looks and I haven't managed to do any damage to it yet (Despite dropping it on several occasions and sitting on it once.) I'm not going to go in all the technical details of the phone as I don't think they provide you what you really need to know about the phone so I'll stick to the stuff that I use a mobile for.
Navigating you way round the menu's on the phone is fairly easy and I find the touchscreen quite innovative, the menu's follow the standard Samsung format and you can find everything you need quite easily, the phone is obviously an attempt to rival the i-phone and I have to say the sound it produces is of the highest quality and the battery seems to last forever.
Now for the bad bits, the camera on the phone is 5 mega-pixels but the quality of the picture taken is not great, unless you are right on top of what your taking you'll need to use the zoom function and this seems to always give a blurry picture (I don't think this is down to my picture taking abilities!!) Another annoying fault I've found is that when trying to pick up voicemails the phone can be very temperamental when you "push 1 to listen to new messages" - it'll very often ignore the fact you've pushed one and just repeat all your options again.
Finally, if like me, you send a lot of text messages this phone will take a lot of getting used to, it's quite amazing how just moving the buttons onto a touchscreen can make it so much longer and more difficult to text.
Advantages: Good features and applications, good looking phone Disadvantages: Touch screen too sensitive, poor battery life, poor flash facility on camera
