The Samsung i600 is the natural evolution of the Smartphone.
~General Impressions~
The i600 is a slim Windows Mobile Smartphone ~12mm thick, fits easily in the hand, and has got a very pleasant rubbery black finish. The qwerty keypad buttons are about the size of tic tac's, also with a soft rubbery feel, and soft pressing action.
The phone is slightly thicker and heavier than its predecessor the i320 - but then, it also includes much higher specs.
The power button is on the top left edge (similar to Nokia phones), and isn't easy enough to press by accident. This is an improvement on previous Samsung models where the power button was incoporated with the hangup button, which sometimes led to accidentally turning the phone off.
~Technical~ The i600 has great connectivity options allowing for network dependent HSDPA internet speed (up to 1.8mbps), as well as Wi-Fi connections when in range.
The phone also has a decent camera, as well as a small camera in front for video calls.
~In the Box~ In the box we find the following items: Earphones with integrated handsfree Wall Charger USB Cable with proprietary plug Normal Battery + cover Extended Battery + fatter cover User Manuals
~Operating System~ The operating system is very nice and shiny, with lots of little electronic audio and video quips and blirps to keep you amused and impressed.
The phone is currently being released with the Window Mobile 5 operating system - but it is generally accepted that a user loadable Windows Mobile 6 Upgrade (the latest from Microsoft), is imminent to be released free of charge.
~Initial Setup~ The phone is easy to set up, I got it working on our company wireless within minutes - and synchronised all my 2000 contacts, and calender entries and mail items by just typing in my login details with a minute.
I didn't like the Samsung Homescreen, and changed it to something that is easier to navigate, while I seach for the homescreen layout that I'd like to use eventually.
Some odd things that are missing was a Instant Messenger Application to get onto the Windows Live Network. This together with Office Applications can be easily downloaded off the net by a simple Google Search though.
Since I have gotten this phone I have converted all the executives in my office to it as well.
This is a great high end office phone, with great connectivity features in a small and thin form factor. I wouldn't ever carry around a Nokia clunker again after I've gotten used to the slim Samsung phones in my pocket.
I would recommend this phone for people who use their cellphones for much more than just making calls. If you don't know computers - be sure that you've got someone to help you set it up.

Advantages: Great battery life, stunning phone, easy to use, overall worth every pretty penny :) Disadvantages: Can be pricey, but it depends on if you're willing to have a used one, or to search for deals
