Good phone for the money. The camera is adequate for most needs and has a flash - as I always say if you want a decent camera then buy one, not a phone!!
The Slide is a big clunky but I personally prefer this as it gives a more robust feel to it, i.e. not flimsy.
Touch sensetitive pads are a bit irritating as the whole area becomes touch sensitive - not just the bits that light up, only slightly annoying as you control the menu options from the square button in the middle of the phone (on the front) and it's hard not to lean on the touch sensitive pad - no doubt this will take a bit of getting use to. Only annoys me when playing games on the phone.
Menu options are easy to understand , I had the old Samsung D500 and the menu options are the same - this is nice to see as some manufacturers keep changing the menu options, so if you are use to Samsung Menus then you will have no problems at all.
Good number pad for phoning, numbers not too small - flat buttons (i.e. not raised).
I have had no problems with reception.
Display is fine, only problem is when the slider is down (i.e. most of the time) there is no display showing, all other phones I have had display the time, so if I want to see the time I have to slide the phone open, there may be a way to change it and I have just not figured it out yet!! Also it means that you can't tell if the phone is on or off just by looking at it - but it's not a great hassle, just something I am use to so will need to get use to no display I guess.
The radio is easy to use with an auto search function.
Memory is not great, but this can be sorted with a memory card.
Easy to transfer images off the phone and easy to transfer music onto the phone.
The long and short of it is, if you want a good looking phone with good features without having to pay the earth then this is the phone for you and I would say compared to what is on the marked for at least double the price then this is excellent value for money.
I got mine with Virgin Mobile (being an existing customer £10 per month for the phone with 100 minutes and 100 texts, great deal!!) Also with Virgin I got it on Grey - not sure if I fancy the bright blue.
Just a small update as I have now been using this phone for a while.
I thought I would get use to the touch screen controls - main problem is when typing in text messages, if you want to delete the last word or delete a character then this proves quite difficult, in most cases I end up loosing what I have already typed (very annoying) and other times I catch it as it asks me if I want to save to drafts. If I manage to save to drafts then you have to open up the message again and edit - this really is a pain but I don't know how tofix it - apart from not having the touch screen reponsible for the back space (delete button) and learing to type the words correctly in the first place.
Because I have found this panel a bit annoying since using the phone I am knocking 1 star of my overall rating - I would not advise you get this phone unless you have delicate fingers or you are a patient person!
