One thing I like about this phone is the fine grill over the speaker. This keeps dust out, I'd previously had problems in my line of work with metal dust sticking to the magnet in the speaker, resulting in severe static and frequent repairs.
The robust rubbery body gives it a solid look and feel.
No complaints on the battery life, FM radio uses a bit of juice though.
Quite satisfied with the camera, good quality photos.
I found the Bluetooth very useful for sending pictures without the need for an expensive USB cable.
A lot cheaper than similar robust phones like the JCB.
Good battery life.
On the down side
Sending an SMS is quite a drawn out process, requires you to go through too many submenus. When I've finished texting and press the "Back" button to clear the screen it resends the SMS!
The main menu button launches the Internet Browser in standby mode. Being accustomed to a Nokia, this caused me to press the button habitually when I first got the phone.
When the phone rings I have to be careful not to touch the volume button on the side, or the message " press unlock then * " will appear. I then have to wait a few seconds for this to clear before I can answer the call... sometimes this causes me to miss calls.
Operating the torch is laborious, first I have to unlock the keypad to switch it on and then again to switch it off. ( With autolock enabled )
Sometimes I get the message " phonebook initializing " when I try to save a number.
Overall
I would only recommend this phone for those who work or play in harsh conditions, like me, I am so macho... :oP Good hardware, bad software. The functionality simply does not rival that of a Nokia.

Hi, I've bought this phone for use at my work which includes dust, water, heat and lot of oportunities for the phone to fall. What you get in the box is the phone, charger, wired handsfree and strap with climbers style hook made mostly of metal. Hook is very practical and easy to attach to anything, for example trousers or cable anywhere around you. The body is made of tough rubber same as keyboard.
The dimensions of the phone are 109 x 48 x 17.9 ... ...for this type of phone. Internal memory is only 2MB. You can store 500 contacts in the memory of the phone.
Battery cover is more sophisticated than on standard phones, it includes special "screw" with which you secure the cover on the back in position. To open the back cover and change SIM card ot battery you need coin or something similar(you can use your nail as well). The cover itself from inside contains special mount with a groove in which ...

Advantages: CHEAP, TOUGH, SIMPLE TO USE. Disadvantages: GPRS painfully slow, text editing fiddly.
REQUIREMENT: Phone for site use that can take a LOT of abuse!
Needs camera, text and bluetooth functions. Lumpy buttons preferred for cold weather use with gloves. I work on construction sites in all weathers and get fed up with phones that become useless due to scratched screens and cracked cases from being dropped a couple of feet. I have gone through loads and wanted something a bit more rugged but without costing the earth. I also have no need ... ...standard these days. I got this as an upgrade with O2 on £15/month with 500 mins and 400texts for 18 months. VERDICT: No sign of damage after two months - a personal record!
Camera picture quality ok and texting reasonable but editing fiddly.
Everything else; radio, bluetooth, settings etc. easy to work out without the manual.apart from GPRS which is very slow. I no longer use this function.
Battery life excellent. 2.5 days use between charges. ...

...been slightly disappointed with the Samsung M110, it doesn't seem as robust as I hoped it would be. Whilst the carabiner-style clip is a brilliant idea to attach the phone to bags/harnesses whilst out and about, the phone itself does not seem as robust as previous "active" mobile phones which I have had.
The battery life of the phone is brilliant and, as I tend to use the phone for texting and calling people, is pretty much ideal for my use. In ... ...so you need to leave the phone on overnight, which cost me a couple of late mornings!
As a slightly more robust phone for every day use, the Samsung M110 is completely suited its purpose, however I am personally unsure of how it would stand up in bad-weather conditions. ...
