Advantages: Looks and reception. Spine-tingling graphics and ringtones! Disadvantages: Limited advanced features for such a pricey phone. Appalling games - they're cute, but will keep you entertained for about three minutes.
+ve: ... ...not only the screen graphics. The phone is stream-lined, silver and suave – one of the few I have used which can look both sophisticated and ‘cool.’ It is certainly one of the most stylish flip-phones, with a small, compact appearance unlike most on the market. As for the display, the 4096 colours are stunning, and the back grounds are well-chosen. These will run through up to eight pictures at a time, the speed of which can be preset.
-ve: ... more
I, like many attracted by the glitzy colours and stylish design, have made the transition from the regular Nokia phones. Though this op is not about comparing the two, it is worth mentioning the differences as it seems that many of you have done/propose to do the same thing!
Contents: Main benefits, Description (Looks +ve and –ve, General Usage +ve and –ve, Features (Menu etc),) Final Warning Word.
+ve: The looks are the obvious starting place, and not only the screen graphics. -ve: The first thing many say to me upon seeing the phone is “What’s with the aerial?” The thing does look slightly out of place, but really does not affect the overall aesthetic quality! The headset is the only other irksome feature – the wire is of string appearance, and hangs around the neck slightly awkwardly - this leaves the phone bouncing as you walk. The set is by no means less functional than any others (see general usage), and wont really matter if you’re not a frequent headset user. The phone does not have the cute inter-changeable fascias of Nokia, but really doesn’t need them. It works with any appearance, and is enormously ego-boosting! Aesthetically, this is a stunning phone.
-} General Usage:
+ve: The phone is very comfortable to hold whilst talking (I was slightly scared of it slipping through my fingers, but this is not the case!), and the mic rests the perfect distance from the mouth. It sits easily in the pocket without appearing bulky, and is extremely durable as far as consistent flipping is concerned. The ability to see who is calling and to reject the call without opening the phone is strangely satisfying. The headset enables you to answer the phone without opening it, and also to end the call. You can access the call-list from the headset, and details of the call are displayed on the exterior screen. The external volume adjustment is also useful. -ve: I must confess that I miss the loud-speaker option I have had on previous phones – the lack of this makes one-sided calls such as voicemail and top-up rather more tedious. Another annoying factor is opening the phone – there is no snazzy flip button, and I have landed some nasty injuries to people behind me when trying to fling it open with one hand. Unfortunately, finger-nails are the only way to go at first, though this does become easier with practise! There is a further negative point to the sleek design – it takes half an hour to remove the battery. Although luck will prevail once in the odd while, a lot of bleeding fingers and grey hairs are involved in removing the back panel!
-} Features (Menu, etc)
It is easier to include positive and negative in one section for the following:
Exterior Screen: This provides all essential information, with a large time display which includes the date, and, in case you forget, the year underneath. It indicates signal and battery, and will notify incoming calls, missed calls and messages. The phone will also show a little vibrate sign to indicate the particular sound profile the phone has at the time. If it is dark, the back-light can be turned on by pressing the volume button at the side. Irritatingly, the battery is only three bars long, and does not really give an adequate indication of how many hours or minutes you have left. Similarly, the signal will sometimes display three or four bars, but will not demonstrate whether this is limited or available service, and the vibrate icon does not necessarily mean that the phone is on silent. This will only really prove a problem for the lazy or rushed person, as all these things are revealed upon opening to the main screen. Main screen options: Voice Mail and Speed dial can be accessed from the main screen, and there is also an easy-access WAP button. Two of the arrow keys directly open either the messaging menu or the ring-tone menu. The key-volume can be adjusted with the button on the side of the phone. This screen will also display time, date and network. Menu Options: Firstly there are call records, which include the standard call length, details of missed, made and received calls etc. These are really no more or less useful than on any other phone. Secondly are the messaging options, which start with Voice Mail and go on to Read Messages, Write Message, Preset Message, Setup, Broadcast, Picture Message. If I may take this opportunity to say that the picture messages are simply appalling, and do not include ‘picture messaging’ as it has come to be known – you cannot receive photos sent from other phones. Which is really, really pathetic for a phone so expensive. Also, the dictionary is a bit difficult to manage, and the general on-screen presentation of messages is poor. The dictionary does not remember new words, and the manual typing is awkward to access and do. There is a very small symbol selection, and the inbox and outbox can only hold ten messages combined. Overall, the messaging service is enormously poor. Next come the voice options: Voice Dial, Voice Command and Voice Memo – the memo is useful and uncommon feature on most phones, though I have yet to find much use for the other two… Fourthly are the tones – this extensive feature has a menu option all to itself, as it well should: the list proceeds Ring Tone, Melody Composer, Ring Volume, Alert Type, Keypad Tone, Message Tone, Error Tone, Minute Minder, Connect Tone. The composer is pretty but somewhat uninventive, though the beautiful tones themselves make up for this. The tones, both message and ringing, cannot be accessed whilst the phone is on silent – this means that you can’t change the message alert to vibrate discreetly! Fifthly come the settings - Phone Settings, Network Services, Security Settings, LCD/LED Settings, Browser Settings. These are all fairly straight-forward, and include all general options to be found on most phones. The LCD/LED settings are good fun – these include changing the colour of the service light and adjusting all sorts of settings for the main screen. The sixth option is the organiser: The scheduler is much similar to the Nokia one, though is less easy to navigate, as the up-down keys do not help control the selection. However, all useful functions such as birthdays, memos, meetings etc are included. The menu is: Scheduler, Alarm, Calculator, To Do List, Calendar, World Time, Clock. The alarm features several different tones, and the calculator is relatively easy to use. Seventh come the games: As I have already said, I fear these are quite miserable. They are extremely slow, and do not really contain any of the novelty addictive value of Nokia. The three games are Air Shooting, SpaceWar, MyPet – the latter is good fun for the first couple of days, but is only really a revisitation of the Tamagotchi (or whatever they were) phase, and does not really entertain for long. The eighth option is the WAP – the features are standard: Home, Bookmark, Goto. The internet itself does have a pretty colour on the background.
Overall, the features are fairly standard – they include all the necessaries, but the menu does not contain any particular area in which it excels (excluding the ringtones) and falls up drastically on the messaging service. There are a couple of irksome traits, such as not being able to access the profiles on silent; however, the phone suffices over all.
*Final warning word:*
While the phone is very good all-round device and a lovely-looking accessory, there are a couple of things to watch out for. For those of you who are prone to dropping your phone or giving it slight taps, the silver finish scratches very easily. Furthermore, its standby time and talk time are somewhat below average. However, the main thing to look out for is the lack of advanced features, particularly infrared and GPRS. While this may not be useful to all of us, it must be borne in mind that many other phones of this price manage to include these features without falling up in other areas. A final dig at the messaging service – the phone is not only incompatible with cameras, but cannot receive messages sent by other phones. And I have to say it again, the texting is dreadful.
Advantages: Very nicely designed. Its good to talk as reception quality is excellent and its designed with this more in mind. It comes supplied with an extra battery. Also its very robust and strong, without being overly heavy. Sounds and looks great! Disadvantages: The major one is that text messaging is difficult. And some of the meun options are totally useless.
...Not a bad move by Samsung really as a silver flashy looking thing is bound to trick the minds of innocent humanoids in this world we live in. And although it may have also looked very nice in blue, black or whatever, they won’t have sold any less because of it (so they’ve saved themselves some production costs). It is ultra curvy and even the ring-tone speaker is curved nicely on the front. There’re even curves where it doesn’t need curves.
I’ll ... ...there????) ever use it?! The Samsung even comes with “Voice Commands” and “Voice Memo’s” as well. A kind of magically evolved (by a donkey) Voice Dialling hybrid where you can access submenu’s by voice command. These are easy to set up, like the voice dialling. But again, I’ll never use them. Would you??
• The ringtones will have the whole family standing around staring in amazement (or is that just my bunch of apes?!). Being polyphonic they sound ...

...handset I chose was the Samsung T-100, for which we paid £50 for. I am very pleased with my new T-100, and I think it’s well worth the money!
External Looks
--------------
The Samsung T-100 is a flip phone, designed in a clamshell case. To open it, you just hold the phone firmly from the underside, and then use your other hand to gently lift the cover. Under the Case

The phone’s quality is reflected when the phone is opened as well. The hinge that connects the two halves of the phone feels very solid and robust, and not flimsy like the old flip phones. It opens up to reveal a shiny silver inside case, a large LCD screen on the top half of the ...

...I forgot to mention that Samsung have very kindly given you two batteries for this phone, there is a slim battery and a slightly fatter one (not huge though!) that holds the battery life longer.
This seems like the longest op ever and I’m sure I could still write another 5 pages on it. If there is anything I have missed out let me know and will try and include it.

---------------
The Samsung T100 is available in titanium silver (limited edition exclusive to certain phone stores in the UK) and brushed silver. The Samsung SGH-T100 – A very good piece of kit!
Having had the Nokia 8210 for a year I decided it was time to change my handset. I shopped around and got the best deal from my network (T-Mobile, read my opinion on them). They had a lot of handsets to choose from and the main ones that caught my eye were the new Nokia 8310, Motorola V66, Sony Erricson T68i and the Samsung SGH-T100.
I looked at them all, The Nokia was basically the 8210 inside with ... ...I then looked at the Samsung and fell in love with it instantly.
The Samsung is a very beautiful handset. When the assistant opened the box to let me have a look at the phone she took out a silver presentation case much like something you would get from the jewellers and she opened it up and there was the phone sat gleaming at you, enticing you to buy it. (It worked!!) The phone looked very delicate to touch and pick up but having used it for a ...

The SamsungSGH-V200, Welcome to my world!
Having been one of the 1st people in the country to get my hands on a SamsungSGH-T100 a year ago it made me very excited and interested in a different brand of mobile phones and that phone, served me fantastically. The Korean based giant, have made me feel the same as I did then when I purchased their SGH-V200 a few days ago.
Samsung have definitely succeeded again and this phone is sure to be a best seller.
It was that time of year when it becomes time to upgrade and you are often mesmerised by the various deals and handsets on offer. I had already decided to stick with T-Mobile as they provide excellent service and I have a good phone number. I was offered a competitive price similar to a new connection and could pick any phone from their range. Three phones stuck out as ...

The weight of the phone is very light and is weighing in at 88g, which I though was incredibly light for a phone considering everything that it can do etc. another bad thing about the phone is that it only has 13Mb or memory on the phone and you cannot have a memory card for the phone which makes it a bit worse of a phone because most people would like a phone that they can store lots of music on and this just wouldn't be the phone for that.
