I find Samsung phones extremely easy to use, I have had one before and loved it, and having a Sony Ericsson for a while, I kind of missed the Samsung phones.
Menu

When I was due for upgrade this time, I wasn't particularly bothered which phone I had, I was more interested in whether they could offer me a better tariff on my contract. I have been with Vodafone for many years and have always been satisfied with the service that they have provided and I was over the moon when they offered me the tariff of 600 mins and unlimited text messages, all for £35. The tariff I was on before was 200 minutes and 500 text messages for the same price, in which I was going over by at least 500 messages and my bill was coming in around £100 per month which was ridiculous.

The main functions are done on the front, which is very similar to a touch screen, which I have found it to be extremely sensitive and you sometimes end up pressing the buttons and it thinks you have pressed them more than once, so you have to be careful as you can end up ringing someone when you don't actually want to.

Entertainment
When going into the entertainment section, to be honest I don't ever venture into this, it gives you the option to play and download new games. On this particular phone you also have th option to use ebay, so you can trade online using you phone if that is something that you are interested in. It also has a direct link to google for easy searching on the net.
Vodafone Live
This is vodafones internet service, which is very useful. The homepage is very informative and you can go direct to more or less everything that you need. I use vodafone live to download ringtones and music for the phone itself.
Music Player
The music player on the U700 is great. You can synchronise the phone with Windows Media Player and copy your albums onto your phone and use it as an MP3 player. This is great for when travelling and saves you a bit of money not having to invest in the latest Ipod.
Camera
The camera is 3.2 megapixel camera and the pictures that it captures are very good and very clear. You have the option to take still pictures and also take videos. The phone comes with a USB cable so you can transfer your pictures and video's to your laptop or PC.
Messaging
This part of my phone always gets hammered, I am constantly texting. I'm a person in demand most of the time. I got up this morning and had 18 missed calls and 12 messages on my phone all from different people. Texting from the phone is really easy, you can use the normal method or predictive text. You have several boxes, incoming texts go into the in box, and you have folders for sent items, outbox and drafts. You can set your phone to have various report options should you need read receipts for certain messages.
Files
This section is where you can store everything which goes into different folders and is easy to retrieve. You can store all ypu video's, pictures, and music and get to them just by a quick click of a button.
Organiser
This has everything from calculator to currency converter, which prove to be handy when you need something and haven't got it handy. You can set alarm clocks from this section. You can also set appointments and tasks that will flag up if you set a time on them.
Calls
This stores the last 20 calls that you have made, received and details any missed calls that you may have had.
Profiles
Gives you the option to set the phone in certain modes, if you are in the car and need it to be handfree, whether its bed time, it will go on silent or if you are in a meeting it will go on silent. Just remember to change the settings.
Calling people from the phone is really easy, just dial the number and press the call button, or alternatively you go into the phone book, and select the appropriate person and just press call. You have volume at the side of the phone to change if you need to. This also acts as the volume for the MP3 player part of the phone.
Up to yet the battery life of the phone is very good. I charged it up for 24 hours when I first had it and have not had to do it since. There is nothing worse than having a phone which the battery drains on it too quick.
Overall, its a great phone on a great, good value contract, whoch is only for 12 months. Jobs a good one.

As already mentioned Samsung have developed a reputation for developing high quality, stylish equipment over the years and at first glance it seems the U700 follows suit admirably.
The appearance of the U700 is undeniably attractive, with its shiny, mirrored surface and clean, sleek lines creating an appealing yet modestly understated image. Astonishingly rigid and robust considering it's slim profile, the U700 really does come across as ... ...little at this point. Samsung do indeed seem to have been seduced a little by the Style-over-Substance fairies, as previously mooted by another reviewer.
The first and to be fair, worst faux pas, is the inclusion of the infuriatingly annoying and shoddy "touch sensitive" buttons on the outer section of the phone. Little miracles of modern technology, that can quite easily send you into an apoplectic rage after a very short period of time. I have ...

Advantages: Looks Disadvantages: Almost everything else
When I first saw this phone in the shop I thought "Wow, I have to have it!". It looks fantastic: sleek, shiny silver colour with no trace of plastic (an "adult phone" at last!) and a big colourful screen. And the camera has 3.2 megapixels! Wohoo!
After using it for a few months now, here is my review. This mobile phone has seriously infuriated me in many occasions, cutting phone calls off, kicking me out of the tool I was using and sending me back ... ...utility. All because of the "touch keys". It would have been so much simpler to use normal keys, but the look wouldn't be the same. These days, I find myself answering to phone calls with the phone perpendicular to my head, in an effort to avoid touching these keys.
The camera cannot compare to the Sony Ericsson ones. My old 2 megapixel W900i makes far better pictures than this Samsung. Indoors, the light is useless the pictures will be "moved" ...

i am a samsung phone user and this year i bought another cellphone. This slim design gives this cellphone thumbs up before the other new cellphone. lets break down the pros and cons of this cellphone:
pros:
*design are very attractive: slim phone, available in silver colors
*wide screen dimensions
*bigger fonts on screen resolution
*3G capable
*2 cameras, front (VGA) and back (3.2MP)
cons:
*touch pad buttons
*loop like buttons (located at ... ...ipods. this is a con because this kind of button is a recipe for faster deterioration of the product *low internal memory
*low maximum external memory: up to 2GB only
*games version of the java is still not supported by a large amount of t sites ...

...and slim phone and the Samsung U700 certainly fits this bill. If you are looking for a phone that slips into pocket and doesn't make it look like you are smuggling a brick or that doesn't ruin the lines on your suit then the Samsung certainly fits that bill. It looks very funky and has a number of useful features. The camera is passable and in lieu of a proper digital camera will record memories in enough clarity. This model is stylish and the metallic silver looks sleek and modern. It doubles up as a mirror on the screen so when you phone goes into sleep mode so to speak, you can check your lippy whilst on the go. Its probably more of a girls phone as it has soft edges. Its slim and fits comfortable in your handbag or pocket. It has an easy menu making settings etc easy to find. The camera is 3.2 megapixels so is quite clear and can take some really great ... ...scratch it but i use a stylish phone sock whilst in my bag. I also dont think the phone is very loud. At the maximum volume sometimes i miss it if people ring me. The touch screen buttons are also a little awkward, sometimes you have to press them a few times before it does what you want, or sometimes you catch it without realising as its sensitive and it takes you off the text you are in the middle of typing and you lose it. ...
