The feature rich X830 portable jukebox plays multiple audio formats including MP3, AAC, AAC+, e-AAC+, and WMA. Full review
The samsung sgh-x830 is a cool looking phone.

Firstly its small...very small (approx half as narrow and a little shorter than my motorola v3x). Not for those whom misplace things on a regular basis.

Becuase of its size obviously the screens are going to be small but this is to be expected and although you can not see much of the photo on the screen, once you have put them on the computer you will see that samsung have squeezed as much quality as they can out of the modest 1.3mp camera. Aswell as this the camera lens is situated inconveneintly on the back just where your fingers hold the phone which means you have to hold the phone lower down to take a photo without getting a close up of your finger.

however the camera is merely an added extra, looking at the phone front on you can see quite clealry its intended for use as an mp3 player and this it does very well. it has 1gb of internal storage which is this phones selling point, although to have more would be helpfull it is not neccesary it can easily have a few albums stored on it and its easy to chop and change them on the computer whenever you like. The sound quality is excellent. need i say more.

The jog wheel is required as to rely on the keys to browse the phone would be useless. Thankfully it works well and all the user options are very easy to access.

Texting is at first a difficulty, the keys are aligned in 2 rows instead of the usual 3, although this does and will slow down you texting dramatically to start with the keys are actually very well desinged.

most people text using two thumbs so you have 1 thumb to 1 row. give it a couple of months and your texting will more than likely be quicker than it ever has been, still the keys are a little small. the 2 row keys will more than likely be featured on more phones because of this in the future.

the phone flips open very smooth and precisely.
to say it is flimsy and not durable is a lie. its compact light and squareish design makes it robust enough for anyone not using it to dig holes with.

Reception is good but not amazing. you will find you may have to change the way you hold it the internal antenna does not like being covered.

battery standby time is very good. considering its so small and its used as an mp3 player this thing has a lot of stanimer. I recharge approx every 3 days using about an 1hr mp3 daily.

I searched long and hard to find an affordable small stylish phone with 1gb mp3 player and decent enough camera, this is it and for anyone like me believe me this is the phone for you. I cannot see me wanting another phone for a long time.
