...of that machine. But like all PC parts it got faster, it could do more, and the prices were falling by the month. That was 6 years ago and my has time flown since then. With customer demand came customer satisfaction. No longer do we need loads of everything when nowadays you can put it all in one box
Why buy more than you need eh?
Exactly! So why buy a CD-RW and a DVD-Rom when you can get all you need in one machine, just like this Samsung CD-RW/DVD-ROM.
It makes sense to buy this because look at the money your saving instead of buying 2 drives. Now you can free up a drive bay on your PC and utilise it a lot better e.g. why not put a DVD burner in to go with your new DVD-ROM. Making back-ups 'on-the-fly' is a dream with the Samsung.
It can read DVD's at 16X which is standard reading speed for DVD's.
It can burn CD-R's at a staggering 52X which...

...The Samsung Syncmaster 19 inch monitor is an excellent display for the
price. A few months ago I was looking for a good quality display, larger
than 17 inches yet still somewhat reasonably priced (under $600), and it had to be available at a local store in my area so I could check out the picture quality on a demo model.
Running it at a resolution of 1280x960 everything is clear and readable,
however a 19 inch display should be able to do 1280x1024 as it's standard or "native" resolution - this resolution and higher looks a bit blurry to me, but that may be the fault of my video card, a VooDoo 3 3000 - great for 3D but not top of the line for 2D - a card specifically made for 2D might do a better job at higher resolutions. I also have an SVGA pass-through cable for my DVD decoder card installed, which I thought might be part...

Advantages: pivot for word documents, excellent image quality, easy calibration, looks stunning Disadvantages: slightly more expensive than your average 17" LCD
...This monitor is actually amazing!
I bought the SamsungSM173P around 5 months ago for £230 and although this was quite expensive for the average LCD monitor, the SamsungSM173P is no ordinary LCD!!
Firstly, the SM173P is the most aesthetically pleasing monitor I have seen in production at the moment. In all, the design is very minimalist, giving a tidy and sleek feel to the monitor. On the front there is only one solitary silver power on/off button on the right bottom corner and "SAMSUNG" in the middle of the lower border.
From the back, the monitor looks like something the designers behind the iMac and iPod would have come up with! It has a nice white finish that completes the sleek and sophisticated feel about this monitor.
The screen itself was the thinnest out of all the monitors I came across when I was shopping...

I was using Shure microphones in bands back in 1972 and they were noticeably tough and durable with their steel bodies. They had a great reputation even then although how good they sounded in the loud rock bands I was in is a matter best left to history. more
After getting sick of my musical recordings being subjected to annoying high-end hiss or low-end hums, I decided I needed a new microphone to record my acoustic instruments.
The SM57 drew attention to me straight away.
Aside from being one of, if not,... more
~*~ Why did we buy it? ~*~
We bought this sandwich toaster because our last one was so difficult to clean! It was also quite a few years old and was getting to the point where it would burn the bread before the inside was cooked so we would have to... more
