Advantages: Price, Quality and very stylish. Another Top product from Samsung Disadvantages: No built in Freeview
...Where do I start? Firstly the Price.. WOW great value for money. The product is very good. I first thought it was a mistake it was so cheap! Its picture is fantastic as is the sound. Looks very stylish and modern.
Remote very easy to work as are all the basic features of the LCD television, The size of screen is just right for watching movies
My only real gripe is that it doesn't have freeview built-in like most of Samsungs product range.
4.5 stared Product! well worth the money and i'd buy another in a heartbeat if I needed one!
Is it just me or have Samsung have come out of knowwhere to be one of the leading providers of Home Cinema Entertainment Systems?...

Advantages: clean looking, excellent quailty, low price, great sound Disadvantages: not a full hd player
...Having purchased the Samsung HT-X30 in a package deal with a Samsung 42" plasma, i can say that i was impressed staright away.
The main dvd unit is the same piano black as my tv, with an eluminated blue power button, again the same as my tv. This system upscales into HD, 1080 to precise, when coupled to an hdtv via a hdmi cable the quality is outstanding, maybe not as good as a genuine hd player, but not bad. I had a top of the range pano 1000w system before and for sound quality the samsung system totally out classes it, 5.1 and 850w, just perfect. The system has an HDMI output, plus a scart and a usb on the front, the remote is easy to use and the system is easily set up. Love it....

Advantages: Looks nice Disadvantages: Samsung have no respect for their customers
...'d heard nothing. Again, I contacted the "technical support". Again, no idea!!
I then returned the player to the place of purchase who had heard about the fix. They informed me that the player would need to be returned back to Samsung for an upgrade which would take about a week.
1 month later, Samsung had still been unable to return the player to them. By this time, I was fed up and demanded my money back, which I received (eventually!). I then went out and purchased a Toshiba 2109 multi-region player for less than the Samsung had cost me originally. The Toshiba is superior in every respect to the Samsung and I'd reccomend it to anyone.
Roulghy 6 weeks later I received a letter from Samsung informing me there was now a fix available for my player - too late Samsung!!...
