Advantages: zoom, robust, smartmedia, and only four AA batterys. Disadvantages: Does not work with all types of Smartmedia
...This is by the finest camera I have brought, the fast shutter action allows you to take pictures in the fastest of action without blur. Be warned the Camera will not work with all kinds of smartmedia ( e.g. look out for jenoptick ). Smartmedia remains the most compact memory and 32Mb should be good enough for most peoples needs taking 54 shots at high resolution, and 256 shots at the 640 x 480 basic. The zoom is great with that extra digital zoom its fine qulity. Suggested place to buy Colchester photographic. The batterys are very light and I would suggest buying some rechargable NiCad's for longer use. The USB and software is very easy to use i use Adobe Photoshop and it configures just like a twain device....

Advantages: great photos, easy to use, nice feel to the camera. Disadvantages: eats batteries for breakfast, definate need to upgrade smartmedia card to at least 32mb
...This is a great camera for the price. When you hold the camera you feel like it's been well made without being over heavy, the picture quality is excellent and there are 6 different settings for quality of picture so you can easily downgrade the setting to save memory space. The only downsides are that the batteries don't last awfully long and the smartmedia card that is bundled with it (8mb) is small although these cards are cheap anyway, I now use a 32mb card which does me fine but upgrade to 128mb is recommended for the heavy user.
Came with a nice carry case and photosuite software.
i now also use a smartmedia card reader which means you can just take the memory card out of the camera, slot it into the reader and plug straight into your computer via a usb socket, so easy to use....

Advantages: Compact, feature packed Digital Camera Disadvantages: none
...Hi Everyone...I bought this camera a year ago for over £320, it came with a 4 Mb 3.3v Smartmedia memory card. NIMH recharegable batteries, Charger and wrist strap.
I have to say having own the orginal Casio digital camera the Sanyo was like a breath of fresh air, the 4 Mb memory card will hold about 60 low quality ( 640 x 480 ) or 15 Hi quality pictures.. whereas the 32Mb Chip will hold 498 ( 640 x 480 ) or 124 Hi quality pictures.. the camera will also take 3 x 30 second video clips with sound, or I can add 4 seconds of sound with each still. plus there is a built in flash..
The pair of NIMH batteries go on for ages, I did ( in an emergency) try 2 AA Duracell batteries but apart from being grossly expensive they took about 10 pictures...
For such a small camera I have to say that the Sanyo is an excellent superior quality snap shot...
