There is only so much I can say about the hard drive in terms of use. Basically, a hard drive is a hard drive and this functions as well as any other. However, I have had no problems with use of the drive or loudness. The hard drive excels in it's basic, yet perfectly functioning, no-frills-attached features and it's low-end price (£84.99). with computing hardware, as with any market, you tend to get what you pay for. I have never installed a hard-drive prior to buying this, but found the instructions so easy to follow that I was able to do it myself and format it in no time at all. Needless to say, it has worked perfectly so far. Samsung's NoiseGuard technology does exactly as you would expect and to me this was one of the determining factors when I settled on this hard drive, out of a desire to hear my music better and an interest in testing this still largely untested technology.
