Advantages: Looks Fantastic, Easy to Set Up Disadvantages: A little on the expensive Size, Dead Pixel (Dependent on monitor)
I bought the Samsung 2032BW to replace my 18-month old HP vs19e after braking. It is an extremely stylish glossy black screen which looks tremendous. It is simple to use and simple to set up - Just plug it in and it works straight out of the box. It uses the same power supply as PC's which I see as a useful advantage.
It has a variety of settings which can be adjusted - Brightness, Contrast, Color Tone, Color Control, Gamma, MagicColor ... ...Transparency (which seems a little pointless), even brightness settings for the LED around the on/off button. When you first set the monitor up it will use an auto-detect setting which will automatically apply settings, but I recommend experimenting a little for the best display you can get. I do not know very much about monitors and cables, but there is also 'DVI-Out' port.

It has a variety of settings which can be adjusted - Brightness, Contrast, Color Tone, Color Control, Gamma, MagicColor Settings, Position and how fine or coarse images are displayed, Transparency (which seems a little pointless), even brightness settings for the LED around the on/off button. When you first set the monitor up it will use an auto-detect setting which will automatically apply settings, but I recommend experimenting a little for the best display you can get. It has a very high resolution of 1680x1050 which looks fantastic. As mentioned on the other review, some tweaking is required to get the best image, but that doesn't take longer than 5 minutes. Colours are all bright and clear. The monitor is especially suited to playing games and movies, which look great. One disappointment though is that my monitor has a dead pixel, but unless looking out for it you won't notice.
It comes with a free 3 years manufacturer's warranty - 2 years longer than HP (previous monitor brand) offer. Also included in the box is a software CD which contains drivers, MagicTune and NaturalColor software. In the box there is also monitor connection cables, cleaning cloth, quick-setup guide/manual as well as a European power supply.
I bought the monitor for £180 in-store from PC World. In comparison to other wide-screen monitors of this size, it is a little on the expensive size but I wanted to go with a trusted brand and I believe this is a superb investment, especially with the free 3 years warranty. It looks very swish, has one of the best displays I have seen and is a doddle to set-up. I would highly recommend this.
Advantages: Quality design and clarity. Rich colours. Cheap Disadvantages: No speakers.
In a nutshell the samsung syncmaster is an awesome screen including high resolutions and a rich clarity, whether you will be using it to watch movies or play games, this is the monitor for you. The piano-black finish adds to it's modern and stylish look. The 20" is the perfect size for any setup, it won't burn your eyes out of your socket but won't leave you squinting at the screen. For me, it wasn't the easiest of installations, I took a good part ... ...this was no loss in the long run. Overall. I give the samsung syncmaster a 9 out of 10 and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new one. Comparing price to quality ratio, it is off the scale and is one of the best at this price. ...

My husband is having 8 computers in his office, one by one he replaced all his old CRT monitors with this new Samsung SyncMaster. ===Analysis===
* Being a LCD monitor the strain on your eyes is less than ussual also there are wide range of settings that help more to set ... ...* The monitor comes with the high resolution rate of 1680 X 1050, which is excellent for this category of monitors.
* When the monitor is first setup with the computer the auto setting mode activates and sets the monitor settings to the ideals that will suit and complement with the PC with which the monitor is installed. Its best to keep these settings But I should say that little experimenting with the settings and mingling with Various ratios ...

Quick review of Samsung SyncMaster 2032BW
A clear picture, no dead pixels, refresh rate of 2ms so it's good for gaming and great contract for watching movies. It doesn't have speakers but then you shouldn't be using speakers wtih the monitor anyway (buy separates).
An excellent buy, I got mine from Currys for £170. ...

Advantages: best design around, saves space Disadvantages: needs a lot of adjusting to get the best result
Certainly the best looking monitor around and very well designed (it actually takes up less room on my desk than my previous 17"). There is ,of course, a little loss of definiton over a 17" but its minimal and once i had got the setup right I'm very pleased with the result. On the down side the menu is fiddley and the 'Magic color' system is best not used, with it on everything is far to light and many adjustments are switched off. The shape of the ... ...the picture which needs to be adjusted out. The stand, often a cause of problems with many monitors, is simple and works well. This is just a monitor, no ports, cam, speakers. Easy 'plug and play' but out of the box disapointing, you need to work at it then its great ...
