Review of Samsung SyncMaster 2433BW

Samsung SyncMaster 193V - Cool monitor.

Advantages: Light to move about my desk, Very easy on the eye, uses less power and runs cooler.
Disadvantages: At first text is not quite so sharp as on CRT monitor, but I hardly notice this now.

For months I yearned after one of those stylish LCD monitors, but wanting a nice big 19 inch model which tended to be more expensive, I have been waiting for the price to come down. Looking around the computer stores, it soon became obvious to me that the ones with the best quality seemed to be the Samsung and after visiting a relative and seeing that he actually had a Samsung, I was sold on this particular make. It wasn't long before I was unpacking the box of my new Samsung SyncMaster 193V and what a joy it was to lift it onto my desk without straining a muscle and now I had more room to put my clutter! Actually that's not quite true because with the stylish product on my desk and the extra room in front of it, I felt strongly inspired to clean up my space. Review of Samsung SyncMaster 193V

My Trusty Samsung SyncMaster 930MP

Advantages: Nice large clear display, great speakings, really impressive view angle
Disadvantages: No Sky remote code

I have owned and used this monitor daily for 5 years now and it is as good as it was back then. As well as being a solid PC monitor it doubles as a TV as well with built in speakers. The great thing is that you can have your PC, analogue aerial and a scart device all plugged in at the same time and switch between them with a single button on the monitor or with the handy remote. It also features PIP (picture in picture) viewing. Meaning that you can have the TV/Video on screen at the same time as the PC. Either in one of two small squares in the corner of the screen. Or side by side. One slightly annoying thing is that the in-picture small display isn't quite in the corner of the screen and theres times I wish I could push it over a bit to make more space for the PC.
