In my opinion the 226BW is a great buy for anyone who wants a stylish big screen, and its performance will easily satisfy most users. An attractive bonus is that Samsung supplies an industry-standard three-year parts-and-labor warranty, which also covers the backlight. Toll-free tech support is also available for the life of the display.
One design flaw is the screens stand, this can be adjusted to tilit or swivel but isn't height-adjustable.
The 226BW has both analog D-sub and Digital Visual Interface (DVI) ports. The DVI input supports High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP), which lets you watch protected high-definition content when using the monitor with Windows Vista. Samsung includes both analog/D-sub and DVI cables with the monitor.
Some facts and figures for the technical minded:
Contrast Ratio (X:1): 3000 DVI Interface: Yes Dot Pitch in mm: 0.28 Horizontal Frequency in KHz: 81 Horizontal Resolution in Pixel: 1680 Reflection Angle: 160 Response Time in ms: 2 Screen Format: 16:10 Screen Size in Inches: 22 Signal Input: D-Sub 15 Poles + DVI-D Vertical Frequency in Hz: 75 Vertical Resolution in Pixel: 1050
When I connected my Xbox 360 up I was very happy with its perfomance, and therefore a strong recommendation for this product along with its stylish design.
