There seem to be several \"flavours\" of this monitor around, I own the 700b, which is the same as this monitor with the only difference I can tell that it does not have built-in speakers.
The most commendable feature of this monitor is its very extensive OSD control which allows for everything and the kitchen sink to be set and adjusted the way you want it. This means that even with differences in video cards, environment, and needs for resolution, you can still set it up exactly how you want it.
This monitor is heavy, and rather wide at the back as well, so make sure you have enough room and a surface that can suport this monitor.
Colours are vibrant an clear. The image clarity is good, even with the dot pitch of 0.28, which is a little courser than you would usually see. I would recommend this monitor if you are looking for a relatively cheap but good monitor, and are concerned about using non-standard hardware.
It does not support very high resolutions and the maximum resolution with good refresh rate is 1152x864. Perhaps you can get 1280x960 at something higher than 60 Hz but it will need some convincing.
