The Bad Points first - It doesn't have freeview included with the television, which is OK in my current set up, but if you are looking for a television of this size to be wall mounted for a kitchen or bedroom, there may be better choices out there. As this was a gift for me, I couldn't complain, but if it were to be my choice I would pay the extra premium to have the freeview included with the television. Also, the sound quality isn't up to the standard of its competitors. This seems to be a recurring theme in reviews I have read on Samsung televisions. Sound quality is important whatever the size of television, but in my opinion, less so on a smaller set like this. However, it can sometimes be a little tinny, lacking in that quality sound that can be had from Sony or Panasonic.
However, the good points far outweigh the bad points. It is, as mentioned in the title, a very sleek and stylish television. It is finished in black and would, in my opinion, look great in any home. It is also surprisingly slim, and does allow for wall mounting. Furthermore, included in the box is a cable for PC connection, so, like many modern televisions, it can double up as a PC monitor. It also has HDMI output for connecting to your PS3/Blu Ray.
It isn't full HD (1440x900) but it still looks great connected to my PS3 for Blu Ray and gaming. Obviously, a more expensive, larger television would suit Blu Ray better, but all in all it is a good little compromise, particularly as I am very much limited for space. The colours are sharp (colour ratio 1000:1) and there is no blur when gaming that is sometimes associated with the equivalant Plasmas.
As a cheaper alternative to the other televisions on the market, it is definitely worth a shot. Personally, I'd fork out the extra couple of quid for the built-in freeview, but this doesn't take away from this television being a great all rounder for watching telly, gaming or using it as a PC monitor. Still recommended, despite its flaws.
