Samsung TV's are in general excellent. I have another model that is slightly bigger and the experiances I had with that one led me to this one! To give you an over view this is a 22 " Widescreen LCD screen that can be used as a TV or as a Computer monitor. It has a built in DTV tuner (freeview) and is HD compatible. I do not mean the pretend HD either this is full 1080p HD. There is 1080 i which can be classed as HD but 1080p is a fully high definition TV and means you can run a PS3 on it how it was meant to along with HD DVD's, Blueray and HD TV. Now all that may sound a bit confusing so I will have a go at explaining. There are two types of HD tv. One is 1080i and on is 1080p. In general terms 1080p is better. The p stands for progressive scan and the i stands for interlaced. THe 1080 bit stands for the pixel density on the screen. To make it simple the bigger the number here the better the quality. If you think back to the old 60hz tv's they were probably around 420 pixels! Now a progressive scan delivers better picture quality than an interlaced picture. If you are looking for a TV and want a full HD TV make sure it says 1080p somehwere! Back tothe TV in question. This TV is full HD and it is rather good. When playing the PS3 on it or watching a bluray DVD you really see the difference. The picture seems to be behind a pane of glass rather than on the TV it is that clear and sharp. I find also that the TV only being 22" makes the picture that much clearer over larger TV;s I have seen. I guess however that is preference as a big TV is good for movies etc. I like to be rather close however when playing games! This TV has two HDMI ports. These ports are essentail for anything that is in Hd. This means you can connect the PS3 to it and another HD product (SKY HD ) at the same time. It also means you can use it as a computer monitor. To be honest if you are buying this as a monitor its a bit expensive so I wouldn't buy it for that sole purpose. However should you want to use it as a TV and have you PC attached to it that is possible and only requires a press of a button on the remote to switch between the two! In terms of price it isn't bad at all. This is in my view the best full Hd TV in this size. For under £300 its not bad at all. If you arn't too fussed about the whole full HD thing and you simply want a good TV for everyday use you will be able to get a bigger TV for this price but it will not be full HD. Another thing to add is that this TV is sexy. I find some TV's to be rather square and boring. The colour and the shape are rather nice to look at here though. I realise that isn't of greatest important but it is good to know :) The sound however is the only draw back. The speakers are good for a small - medium sized room. However if you have a large room you need to think about surround sound. The samsung Hd TV's are known for having poorer sound quality copared to the Sony models for example. I however cannot notice a huge difference. I think the other features of this TV more than make up for this problem!

est LCDtechnologies. The T220HD has 50,000:1 contrast, a response time of 2 ms and brightness of 250cd/m that allowfor a crisp and fluid picture in vibrant and intense colour...

just to say, this tv isn't true 1080p btw, it's 1680x1050, not 1920x1080, but it is close, other than that, good review :)
