Seduced by his beauty as I gazed at him in the store, I decided that the Samsung F480 otherwise known as the "Tocco" was my new-phone-to-be. I took him home, carelessly stripped off his clothes and admired him up close and personal. The sleek smoothness of his skin felt good in my hands; he had an athletically sleek build and I loved the way we fit when he cuddled up to my ear. We were inseparable - spending lots of time taking photos with his 5 megapixel camera: the quality was amazing compared to that of my exes. He was a real party guy - he had widgets which I found very useful for navigation. He recognised songs that I couldn't and played a great choice of tunes for me (72 polyphonic plus MP3). I loved his Java games. With wap, bluetooth, MMS and the standard items like clock, calendar, stopwatch and converters he made a great other half and I was happy but I was soon to learn that a change was gonna come
How we grew apart
After a few months of fun, I needed more. Yes, I enjoyed our time together but the truth was that I had a job and I sometimes needed to do work away from the office. When I confronted Tocco about this he offered me a Word and PowerPoint viewer. "Can I create documents too?" I asked. He stared at me blankly. It seemed that all he could give me were tools to look at documents already made. Hmm, not so impressive. I wondered - could he talk to my workplace server for me so that I could stay in touch with the office? He had problems with that too. It seemed that his depth ended with his 223 MB worth of user memory.
How we broke up
That was it. I suppressed my inner geek for long enough and although I enjoyed the ride of being party girl for a while, I couldn't conceal who I really was. An all-rounder - someone who liked to play but also wanted to work. I became emotionally involved with a Windows Mobile (who did provide synchronisation with my organisation's server, allowed me to create documents and gave me access to Windows Messenger and my Hotmail account) before I completely ended it with Tocco. When I did tell him that it was the end of the road, he looked disappointed but admitted that I was more needy than he could accommodate. And so we went our separate ways. I still see him occasionally - my friend had an eye for him and I said that it was OK for her to start seeing him, no hard feelings. Since meeting Windows Mobile, my eye wandered again, this time to the Blackberry Bold so now I have the two on-the-go but that's just me - maybe more of a "play" girl than I realised, It's not been a bad experience at all but if you're like me and need more functionality than fun, try Tocco out first before taking him back to your place.

Advantages: Touch screen, easy menu access, good sound quality, light and good camera. Disadvantages: Phone cover could be better. A better phone for those with smaller fingers!
